Through food, we can learn more about one another’s struggles, stories and cultures. We are a lot more alike than we are different, this is an opportunity to come to the table. The table is a place where people share stories and life. It's a place where, despite our differences, we are reminded of the things that unite us, we come together to learn about each other, create authentic relationships and bring each other closer to Jesus.

With the ever-increasing challenges in the world around us and with a wide variety of perspective and opinion that comes with it, there is a real danger with the church. Danger of missing the point of who we are…Paul reminds that the church is for all… We are called to live generously. To be “Others focused”. To be salt & light. We must remember who we are, and why it is important.

We live in a culture where boldness about our faith will cost us almost nothing, and we lack boldness…. If the early church had been safety-conscious and rights-conscious instead of bold, the message of Jesus would have disappeared within six months of the resurrection. The church is not passive, the church doesn’t sit back and judge, the church isn’t idle. The church disrupts the norms, the church prays, seeks God for wisdom, comes alongside and takes action.

Something happened that launched this movement known as the church. The foundation of what we believe is something that happened, not something that was simply taught a long time ago. The church is a movement, and it’s been an unstoppable
force for over 2000 years…
