We party because the Gospel brings diversity. We party because there is unity in the diversity of a redeemed community. We party because the things that society and culture say should divide us will never be greater than the one thing that unites us. Jesus Christ!

If you look at the life of Jesus not only did Jesus draw crowds, but Jesus was frequently at parties... Jesus causes parties to break out in the most unlikely places.

God has always been celebrating since the beginning and has designed us to be known as a people of joy and celebration. The world parties and celebrates in many different ways but in this sermon we learn how God intended celebrations to be celebrated by today's Christians.

This is the final week of our series called Relationship Killers. For this week we talk about conflict and how that damages our relationship. Conflict left unresolved leads to destruction in a relationship.

Boundaries define us. They define what is me and what is not me. A boundary shows me where I end and someone else begins, leading me to a sense of ownership. We need to take the time to draw a circle of protection around our closest relationships, by acknowledging the areas of our lives that need boundaries, and then determining to make those boundaries a reality.

What are your walls? We all come to relationships with walls barriers we’ve constructed that need to be broken or taken down. We’ve built walls to protect ourselves, to defend ourselves, and to keep from getting hurt. We use them to keep people at a distance, or even keep them out.

The deeper the hurt, the harder it is and the longer it takes us to forgive. But sometimes we simply don’t forgive. Holding grudges, for the hurt that others have caused you or harboring offense towards others only hold you hostage from quality relationships. Resentment builds in our hearts. We nurse the offense. As a result, we remain prisoner to our pain.

Love, is such a hard word to define. Everyone has an idea or thought of what love is supposed to look like. Most have bought into the picture of love that culture paints for us and it has left us with a skewed and jaded view. But, there is no greater picture of what love is, and what it does, than when we look at Jesus.

Many believe doubt is the opposite of faith, but the opposite of faith is actually unbelief. If we are content to wait for all our doubts to be resolved, we will never be able to encounter the life changing power of Jesus.

Life is a gift. If you are intentional, you can unwrap it every day. To do this you must lean into the power of forgiveness and love others freely. It is easy for us to become paralyzed in our lives if we are always waiting for the perfect situation, or for everything to fall into place, or the optimal conditions to happen. What if, you are missing out on your opportunity?
