  • Daniela Stewart: False Flag [Version]
FYI: "Refuseniks" by Daniela Stewart, the retrospective, is out now.
    Versions, rarities, obscurities.

This one here is more or less an answer to "I am the Law" by The Human League, we heard. Not very pro Judge Dredd & what came after. Features a Raincoats sample.
    Greetings!

  • Life Design feat. D.F.: Made For This
Let me share a thought here:
"Identity" does not necessarily have to do with roots or a unique personality. That was made more clear to me, when I threw in"c.i.z. identity politics" as the title of this year's free bandcamp compilation. And then you get tracks thrown at you that have ingredients like robots, "post war" societies based on combat, lines like "What is it? I'll do it", raps by puppets of oligarchs, "Toy House", abstract love songs, werewolves and so much more. Well: Identity is a group thing, but it's kinda liquid and you can't reduce it to stereotypes. Nobody owns it, and there is never only one. There are endless amounts of villages which educate us. Likewise: There is an "essence" to this collection, but it's not important. Richness in perception is.
And my basic thought was: We hide "them".
But that's not the point. Because "they" evolve.
There is no state of art. Or of people.
    Cheers,
    jko

  • SBR: (Screen Age) Rampage [feat. JLH]
"The mini album The Screen Age Smombies Meet The NATO Zone Method Actors" by SBR deliciously blends contemporary de-retro with the best of pop music history, never forgetting about Schoenlein Brilliant's hipster following or Brachen's more nerdy devoted followers. Both projects deliver a sparkling little record here that shows what the Twenties can bring for us all - musically as well as conceptually."

"We wanted the more or less original titles, SBR wanted one word titles. Good for them that we @ c.i.z. believe in freedom of the arts in the digital age."

"Yes, this version is different from the one on Captures. Improved now, of course."
