For the second day in a row, a Chatham-Kent resident has been arrested for assaulting a police officer, protesters are still causing some traffic trouble at the border in Windsor, and Mayor Drew Dilkens says he won't allow the protest in Windsor to become like the protest in Ottawa.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is telling protesters in Ottawa to go home, Chatham-Kent councillors will be getting a raise this fall, and money that was raised for a new outdoor pool in Wheatley more than 20 years ago is now being returned to the community.

A 24-year-old Tilbury woman is facing charges after she allegedly assaulted two police officers while they were responding to a report of a vehicle that went off the roadway, the number of people in Ontario hospitals who have tested positive with COVID-19 continues to slowly come down, and it looks like Andrea Horwath will be leading the New Democrats into another provincial election.

Chatham-Kent councillors could be up for a pay raise in the next term, time is ticking down on a provincial assistance program for Wheatley residents who were forced out of their homes after last summer's explosion, and the mayor of Ottawa has declared a state of emergency in that city in response to the ongoing "Freedom" convoy protest taking place there.

The number of new COVID-19 cases in Chatham-Kent appears to be trending in the right direction but the public health unit is also reporting three more deaths from the virus, we should find out by the spring if Chatham-Kent will get its first residential withdrawal unit for people with addictions, and Chatham-Kent police are asking for your help to track down a pickup truck and trailer that were reported stolen in Wheatley.
