    After losing a tough game last night in Orlando, the Sacramento Kings (21-40) watched a nightmarish sequel play out against a short-handed Heat (28-34) team tonight in Miami.  After leading for much of the game, Sacramento faded late and then fell in the overtime session by a final of 114-109.

    Rudy Gay scored 18 of his 27 points in the first half, but missed the game-winner at the end of regulation.  Ben McLemore bounced back from a poor showing against the Magic, scoring 20 points on 7-for-16 shooting.  DeMarcus Cousins notched his 37 double-double of the season, finishing with 27 points and 17 rebounds, but fouled out on a controversial [...]

    The Sacramento Kings (21-39) couldn’t corral Victor Oladipo or the Magic’s (20-43) long-range shooters tonight and fell in Orlando by a final of 119-114.

    Rudy Gay led the way with 39 points on 16-of-26 shooting and added three assists, three steals and a pair of blocks.  DeMarcus Cousins dropped in 29 points and 12 rebounds, but it wasn’t enough to beat the Magic on their home floor.

  • CK Road Reaction Postgame Show: San Antonio Spurs 112, Sacramento Kings 85
    After smacking around the New York Knicks on Tuesday night, the Sacramento Kings (21-38) struggled with their shot tonight in San Antonio.  The Kings looked tired and listless and the result was a 112-85 loss to the Spurs (37-23).

    DeMarcus Cousins never found his rhythm, finishing with 14 points and just three rebounds in 22 minutes of action.  Rudy Gay added 10 points, but shot just 4-for-16 and was lit up on the defensive end by Kawhi Leonard.  Ray McCallum scored 12 and grabbed seven rebounds, while Derrick Williams finished with 11 off the bench in 19 minutes.

  • CK Road Reaction Postgame Show: Sacramento Kings 124, New York Knicks 86
    The Sacramento Kings (21-37) got just what the doctor ordered tonight against the New York Knicks (12-47).  With a game in San Antonio tomorrow night, the Kings ran over New York, leading by as many as 44 on their way to the 124-86 blowout victory at Madison Square Garden.

    DeMarcus Cousins returned to action and couldn’t be stopped. The All-Star finished with 22 points and 10 rebounds in just 29 minutes after missing the last two games with a sprained left ankle. Rudy Gay added 25 points, seven rebounds and four assists.  Ben McLemore chipped in 20 on 6-for-12 shooting  Derrick Williams came off the bench to score 17.

    The Sacramento Kings (20-37) made a run at the Portland Trail Blazers (39-19) late, but didn’t have enough in the tank to pull out the win tonight at Sleep Train Arena.

    Rudy Gay scored a team-high 24 points on 10-for-22 shooting.  Derrick Williams added 18 points off the bench and Andre Miller dropped in a 12-point, 10-assist double-double.  Sacramento was without the services of DeMarcus Cousins who missed his second straight game with a left ankle sprain and hip issue.

  • Road Reaction Postgame Show: Los Angeles Clippers 126, Sacramento Kings 99
    The Sacramento Kings (19-35) couldn’t make it two in a row for new head coach George Karl tonight in Los Angeles, falling to the Clippers (37-19) by a final of 126-99.  After leading by five to end the first quarter, the Kings were outscored 42-18 in the deciding second quarter.  Sacramento couldn’t buy a basket on one end of the court and let the Clippers fire away from long range on the other end.

    DeMarcus Cousins led the way with 21 points, but shot just 6-of-19 from the field, turned the ball over five times and grabbed just four rebounds in 26 minutes.  Rudy Gay added 15 points and six rebounds in the loss.
