TSN’s Pierre LeBrun says the whole NHL knew that Vegas was in trouble & other teams were in on a Nate Schmidt trade but he landed in Vancouver. Pierre also says the NHL is watching the NFL & European hockey leagues to see if/how an NHL season could work with fans at some point.

TSN Hockey insider Darren Dreger joined Sekeres & Price today on TSN1040 to discuss the NHL off-season including the moves made (or not made) by the Vancouver Canucks.

TSN 1040 contributor Rick Dhaliwal says that he's heard the Canuck are looking to add a depth defenceman and that Oscar Fantenberg is an option. Dhaliwal also said the Canucks have checked in with Mike Hoffman's agent, and that he feels that Jake Virtanen's camp would like to avoid arbitration and work out a deal before the arbitration case is up on October 28th.
