KJR's Dave Softy Mahler loves everything that comes with the branding of the Kraken. Dave says he's surprised that the franchise went with that name because it is a risk, it is outside the box & does open up for jokes but Dave says that's all part of the equation with such a unique name.

DAZN's Adnan Virk says the expanded playoff format agreed by the league and players is for just this year & it works for both sides because the owners get more playoff TV money & more players will benefit from getting playoff money. Adnan also says the prevailing sentiment around the baseball world is one of excitement/relief because people didn't think this day would come.

Whitecaps keeper Thomas Hasal picked up his first MLS win as the Caps are off to the knockout round of the MLSisBack tournament with a 2-0 win over Chicago. Thomas says first and foremost it was about the result but he said there was no better feeling than the excitement from his teammates after the win.

Co-owner of the Seattle Kraken Mitch Garber says when he first heard the Kraken name, he had to warm up to it as he's not from Seattle & had never heard the name before. Mitch says they chose a color palette that reflects the land, seas, mountains around the Seattle & a palette that is unique to the NHL.

Whitecaps FC CEO & Sporting Director Axel Schuster says that the Montreal Impact did the 'Caps a huge favour loaning goalkeeper Jonathan Sirois for one day so he can be the backup for tomorrows match versus Chicago. Schuster also said that he doesn't feel the 'Caps will be playing home games in the coming weeks, but is working with the MLS to find a solution to how they can play out the rest of the season.
