He talked about his rise to the NHL and being a late bloomer, even thinking out of U18 that he might not have a future in the game. He talked about why he went the Jr. A route as opposed to Major-Junior. He talked about the benefits of going the US College route is and why education is important. Raymond shared a story as to why he still buys Brenden Morrison dinner, whenever they go out. Mason talked about those famous teams he played for here and why they're referred to as the "glory boys". He told the story of his family being only a few rows up when he was hit from behind into the boards in Boston in 2011.
Mason talked about what it was like to play in the centre of the universe and other Canadian markets. Mason talked about what it was like to dress for Team Canada at the Olympics in 2018. Says that despite not being the best Canadian players, the team knew they were the best eligable players.
Programming note: This interview was conducted before the Canucks parted ways with Jon Wall.

The final live show of the year, before our holiday programming takes over and leads us into the new year.
We start off the show by explaining what you will hear for that special holiday programming.
Scott Rintoul joined Matt and Blake for the final time in 2021. Started off with the poll question, asking about the biggest story for the Canucks in this calendar year. Believes that Benning/Green getting fired will win the day. Scotty answers the Covid outbreak. Says we forget that the Canucks had the biggest outbreak for any pro team in North America. Talked about Brandon Sutter still feeling the affects. Blake brought up the possibility of legal ramifications. Scotty doesn't think it’ll go that far but people don’t forget about the lack of communication. Talked about the 2021 for EP40. Scotty was surprised they went to San Jose. Think the league will try to forge ahead after Christmas and New Years. Wouldn’t lay money on it but thinks they will navigate it the best they can. Thinks the pause has hurt the Canucks a little bit. So much momentum coming into it. Talked about no NHL players at the Olympics. Doesn’t surprise him one bit. The quarantine for positive tests hit the players. The guys reminisced about the Gold Medal Final in 2018, where they were all in Vegas together. Talked about the potential of playoffs. Says they need to get to .500 first. Looked into his crystal ball to talk about what he is looking forward to in 2022. Hopes that all conversations don’t involve Covid.
Our Canucks Reporter and Host of Rink Wide, Jeff Paterson joined Matt and Blake for a final time, live, for 2021. Started off by chatting about the story of the year for the Canucks. Thinks that the story is Benning/Green change was the right thing that happend. Talked about when we might hear from them next. Doens’t know if Benning has an appettite to get back into a Sr. role of Hockey managment. Talked about when we might see Green next. JPat thinks that the Demko contract was a home run. The Garland contract and his production, as well. Talked about how Patrik Allvin would fit into the mould. Talked about Curt Ridley and Bob McCammon who both recently passed away.
From all of us at the Sekeres and Price and Go Goat family, we thank you for your support and look forward to seeing you in the new year!

Another special edition of Sekeres and Price today as we head to the holiday season.
Gregg Bell joined Matt and Blake to talk about the Seahawks. Gregg doesn’t think the owner will want to clean house there. She is too occupied with the the Trail Blazers in Portland. There is no doubt RW3 isn’t the same player. He has the most 4th quarter comeback wins since 2012. If it’s not an issue of health, it’s an issue of quality. They could seriously consider making their OC a fall guy. Thinks that RW3 not wanting to get hit by these lineman anymore is affecting his performance. Likened it to crashing your call into a brick wall 15 times a day. After 10 plus years, you just won’t want to do that anymore. Talked about Covid and how it has affected the team. Talked about a number of plays vs the Rams.
Darren Dreger, NHL Insider and Host of Ray and Dregs Podcast joined Matt and Blake. Started off about talking about his Quaker campaign and how it came to be. Talked about looking forward to the World Juniors. This is the one time he allows himself to be a fan and enjoy a few beers in the garage. It’s a good year for Canada but the US will have a good team as well. As long as they can pull off the event without any major Covid outbreak will be good. Talked about the Olympics and other major international championships. Thinks that any player available will embrace a chance at the World Championship tournament. Talked about what he knows about Canadian players in Europe filling in the Olympic void. Specifically brought up Landon Ferraro who Ray says would “fly the plane to China” in order to play. Talked about the path forward for all parties when it comes to the Olympics. This tournament matters. We might not get another chance to see the mega stars of previous tournaments and mega stars of today like McDavid. Talked about GM candidates for the Canucks. There are so many on the list and Rutherford isn’t ready to give names yet. Brought up Patrik. Allvin. He certainly has the history with Rutherford and the main background that fits into the whole piece of the pie. Talked about the level of depth inside an NHL franchise. Players are now getting packages with over 200 questions. Talked about Jennifer Botterill. Doesn’t know if it’s fair to call her the leader in the clubhouse. It’s very clear that she is increibly smart. Dregs brought up. Cheryl Pounder and names like Cami Granato. It’s all about making your organization as deep as possible. Talked about how long it’ll take to see ‘Trader Jim’ in action. Would say that chances are slim that we will see one in the immediate future. Five percent or less that we see a trade before the turn of the calendar.
