It's been a while since we put any of our own mixes out on the podcast so here's something a little special. Last weekend we were delighted to be on the line up for Alfresco Festival in Kent. It's a fantastically curated gathering run with passion and an impeccable music policy. We were honoured to be given a Saturday night slot in the main area, and this is the live recording from that set. The recording is a little hot in places but it all adds to the live vibe we feel :) Hope ya like x

A warm welcome to Dublin's Modern Magic Records. This mix closely follows thier second release from DMX Krew. The Rephlex veteran and his arsenal of machines have touched on acid, electro, boogie, synth pop, techno, IDM, Italo disco and house of many different shades over the years. With their second record just hitting the shops this week, the guys made a mix featuring artists, sounds and labels that influence the eclectic sound of the label. Upcoming next for them is an EP from Armonics with a roaring remix from Black Spuma (Lauer & Fabrizio Mammerella). Catch Modern Magic on the main stage at Life Festival outside of Dublin at the end of this month, then again at their own club night with Subject to celebrate the Aphex Twin after party with Altern 8 at District 8.
