A welcome return to the series for Jo Howard in his Bird of Paradise guise. Jo has enjoyed a busy 2016 with well received released on Multi Culti, Clouded Vision and Blindetonation. Next year will see the release of Jo's own imprint Sulk Magic Recordings, watch out for a release from ourselves on the label. The next Bird of Paradise material will be a remix of James Hadfield's 'Soak' track on Man Power's second Me, Me, Me release.

A busy DJ schedule sees them ply this ethos across the live circuit while this year has naturally seen them launch their own label; the second release just out with delectable, Detroit inspired cuts from n.stal. Also worth seeking out is their edit based Good Plus imprint which has found its way into the bags of Hunee and Young Marco

With a steady output of high quality cuts on Endless Flight, Wolf Music, Lumberjacks in Hell and his own Red Motorbike imprint, Ontario native Eddie C is as adept at covering downtempo, afro-cosmic sounds as he is with deeper, dance floor jams. Recent album 'On The Shore' for Mule Musiq is a must check. London folk should seek him out this Friday at label of the moment Rhythm Section's party with Bradley Zero in Peckham.

A real pleasure to welcome Chida to the mix series this week. Without question one of the finest of a new wave of DJs plying their craft across the world today; Chida made his name in his native Tokyo with his favored long and deeply skillful sets throughout the nineties regularly playing alongside Masters at Work for thier Nu Yorican Soul parties. In 2009 he launched his label Ene, quickly gaining admirers from aficionados Eric Duncan and Andrew Weatherall to Idjut Boys and Lindstrom with its high calibre output. His recent mix of Coyote's "Fight The Future" on our label is out there now and laying waste to dance-floors the world over. It's a delight to host a contribution on Clandestino with this searing, barnstorming selection.

A welcome return to Coyote who contribute their second mix to the series. Rather apt too as our second release on the label from them is out now with mixes from Chida & Selvy. Timm & Ampo are enjoying their 10th year as Coyote with something of a purple patch as their fourth album 'Song Dogs' is also just out plus their EP on their own IsitBaleairc label is due soon; not forgetting the essential 10 Years IIB compilation which came out recently. Forever flying the flag for the global balearic movement a Coyote selection is always a gem and this mix is no different taking in forgotten classics, afro house workouts and original deep house slow burners.

Kimo is our tip for one to watch. His own Double Deer imprint exists as a platform for unheard artists from Indonesia coupled with stylish output from internationally like-minded artists such as Max Essa and Ilija Rudman.
