Now, here's a case where the A side is already so wonderful that your average fan may never bother to flip the record over to hear the B side. Besides, by the early 1970's, Motown records weren't exactly reliable for having worthy flip sides. So the years go by, and one day you decide to see what the B side holds in store... Lo and behold, it's an even better song than the A side! As amazing as it may seem, it's true in this case. The only caveat is that the two sides are so completely different it's hard to say which is "better." Whoever owns this great single should just feel lucky to have both sides to look forward to! Note: This beautiful copy comes in a vintage Motown Records factory sleeve. It looks almost new (Labels, Vinyl) and has pristine Mint sound... a real treat! Essential garage-rock masterpiece... beautiful copy of the original Bell issue. This recording was first released on the small Hush label and then picked up by Bell. I just don't hear this one enough, so I'm sticking a snippet in the jukebox. By the way, the B side is also top-notch, earning our top recommendation — 2 stars. Note: This copy comes in a vintage Bell Records factory sleeve. The labels and vinyl exhibit light signs of storage/use, grading Near Mint. The audio sounds pristine, but I'm sticking with Near Mint to be conservative.

What a great song this is... and a great arrangement... and a great band... and... did I mention a great producer, too? That would be Pete Townsend, by the way. This is one of those instantly memorable classics that everyone knows, but nobody knows who sings it, or even what it's called. :-) The B side is a non-album track. Note: This beautiful 45 has Mint labels with some tiny writing in the "T" in "Track" on the A side. The vinyl looks untouched, and the audio is pristine Mint.

I'm assuming that everyone out there knows the unbelievably classic "Spanish Harlem," either in its first version by Ben E. King or by the amazing version Aretha Franklin recorded a decade later. But I suspect that not many have had the pleasure of this single's B side, so I'm sticking a snippet of it in the jukebox for you. "First Taste of Love" is more uptempo than "Spanish Harlem," features surprising, doo-wop-style backup vocals, and was cowritten by none other than Phil Spector. (That B side, by the way, is a non-album tune.) Note: This 45 record comes in a vintage Atco Records factory sleeve. It has a very nearly Mint A side label, but the B side has some writing on it. The vinyl itself looks untouched, and it's blessed with pristine Mint sound.

Here's a beautiful copy of one of the best singles ever made. Credited to Buddy Holly. Original Holly 45s are one of the most obvious cases where the format's audio is simply superior to that of other formats, such as the artists' albums, reissue 45s, and, of course, CDs. Outstanding audio! Note: This 45 record comes in a vintage Coral Records factory sleeve. It grades close to Mint across the board (Labels, Vinyl, Audio). Even the delicate B side audio is crystal clear!
