The past president of the International Association of Chiefs of Police and the Mayor of Baltimore (Thomas D'Alesandro) congratulate the show. 

Followed by Calling All Cars, originally broadcast January 8, 1935, 90 years ago, Crime Does Not Pay.   A program about juvenile delinquency. A patrolman has been found murdered. He was shot in the back!

Then The Adventures of Frank Merriwell starring Lawson Zerbe, originally broadcast January 8, 1949, 76 years ago, Gold Fever.  Because of a professor's assistant's greed, Bart is almost expelled for cheating on his geology exam. 

Followed by Macabre, originally broadcast January 8, 1962, 63 years ago, The Edge of Evil. A ghost story about a scientist's creation.

Finally, Lum and Abner, originally broadcast January 8, 1942, 83 years ago, Lum Wants the Store and Bakery Back.  Abner tells Lum he's no longer part owner of the store and Lum gets annoyed. The Lucky Loaf idea has been changed for the better?
