In addition, the gang members were wanted for assault and sodomy. Witnesses describe the event, and the cops began "Operation Rogue's Gallery."

Then, Escape, originally broadcast August 25, 1950, 76 years ago.  Crossing Paris starring Jay Novello and William Conrad.   Four suitcases of black-market pork, a meek man and a bully at midnight during the occupation of Paris by the Nazis.

Then, The CBS Radio Workshop, originally broadcast  August 24, 1956, 70 years ago, The Billion Dollar Failure of Figger Fallup.  A tale about the day the devil hired a pollster to find out how many folks would be entrusted to his care in the next twenty years.

Drama and Science Fiction on a Sunday

Followed by Escape, originally broadcast August 23, 1953, 73 years ago, The Man From Tomorrow starring Lawrence Dobkin.  A former fighter pilot is trained to develop his five senses beyond those of ordinary men...and to possibly develop a sixth sense! This is a great show.  Hear an even better version of this script on the September 1 episode of Suspense that stars Frank and Joan Lovejoy.  (Hint- it will be on our upcoming September 1 Best of Classic Radio Theater.)

Then, Dimension X, originally broadcast August 23, 1951, 75 years ago.  The Elixir Of Life can cure any disease and keep you alive for one hundred years. A private investigator has to discover whether it's the real McCoy, or a deadly poison!

Followed by 2000 Plus, originally broadcast August 23, 1950, 76 years ago,  The Flying Saucers.  In the year 2012, a second "Zeus" rocket is about to be launched from White Sands. The saucers have been visiting for the last three months and are considered a potential threat.

Then, Have Gun Will Travel starring John Dehner, originally broadcast August 21, 1960, 66 years ago, The Warrant.  Paladin is captured by a bounty hunter, to be turned over to an evil sheriff out for his blood.

Drama on a Thursday

Then Mr. President starring Edward Arnold, originally broadcast August 20, 1950, 76 years ago, A Man, A Plan, A Canal-Panama!  On the occasion of his 25th wedding anniversary, Mr. President is opposed to the French government building the Panama Canal. 

Followed by The Green Lama starring Paul Frees, originally broadcast August 20, 1949, 77 years ago, The Adventures of the Perfect Prisoner.  The last show of the series. A talented sculptor named Frank Cobb is about to be pardoned from a "model prison." However, he's knifed to death before he can be officially told about the pardon. The Green Lama deals with a prison riot and an escape attempt by one hundred armed inmates. 

Then, Suspense, originally broadcast  August 20, 1961, 65 years ago, Murder is a Matter of Opinion.  Two brothers at college plan to fake a murder, but the blanks in the gun turn out to be very real bullets. Can an innocent man be convicted of murder...and executed?

Followed by The Whistler, originally broadcast August 20, 1945, 81 years ago, X Marks the Murderer.  A woman has a theory about a series of murders, a very interesting theory.
