Then, Mr President starring Edward Arnold,  originally broadcast September 17, 1950, 75 years ago, Do Or Die.  The President finds a secretary to help reorganize the White House as he fights a mandated diet. 

Followed by Dragnet starring Jack Webb, originally broadcast September 17, 1949, 76 years ago, James Vickers.  A cop-killer is shot and killed while attempting to escape. The search for the other man in the car begins. 

Then, Boston Blackie starring Dick Kollmar, originally broadcast September 17, 1946, 79 years ago, The Apartment Swindler.  The leader of a gang that is swindling people who are desperate to get an apartment is found murdered. Don't believe the photograph on the desk!

Followed by Calling All Cars, originally broadcast September 17, 1936, 89 years ago, The Verdugo Hills Murder.   A carpenter and his girlfriend find a woman with her throat cut. The killer first broke a beer bottle over the woman's head.

Finally, Lum and Abner, originally broadcast September 17, 1942, 83 years ago, New Teacher Named Sloane.   Lum is not too thrilled with the new school teacher and plans to resign from the school board...until he learns that the new teacher's a lady!
