Followed by Calling All Cars, originally broadcast September 17, 1936, 89 years ago, The Verdugo Hills Murder. A carpenter and his girlfriend find a woman with her throat cut. The killer first broke a beer bottle over the woman's head.
Finally, Lum and Abner, originally broadcast September 17, 1942, 83 years ago, New Teacher Named Sloane. Lum is not too thrilled with the new school teacher and plans to resign from the school board...until he learns that the new teacher's a lady!
