A Mixed bag today of some of radio’s finest...
First a look at this day in History.
Then X Minus One, originally broadcast March 28, 1956, 68 years ago, A Pail of Air. A story about the last family left on a frozen Earth. This is one of my favorite shows of all time.
Followed by The Lives of Harry Lime starring Orson Welles, originally broadcast March 28, 1952, 72 years ago, Pleasure Before Business. Harry's beautiful partner for a Venice jewel robbery has a few ideas of her own; like love.
Then Jack Benny, originally broadcast March 28, 1954, 70 years ago, Jack and the Beanstalk. The cast does its version of, "Jack and the Beanstalk."
Followed by Gangbusters, originally broadcast March 28, 1941, 83 years ago, Nickle and Dime Bandits. Two small-timers (Rogers and Charleson), and their moll, terrorize Chattanooga and think they can get away with it because they only rob small amounts.
Finally The Adventures of Jungle Jim, originally broadcast March 28, 1936, 88 years ago, The Bat Woman. A mysterious Chinaman leaves a letter of great importance at Jim's favorite jungle saloon.
