Then Nick Carter Master Detective starring Lon Clark, originally broadcast September 18, 1949, 75 years ago, The Case of the Vanishing Weapon.  A woman dies in a car crash.  But why, in the summertime, did she have all the windows closed and the car heater on full blast?

We follow that with Let George Do It starring Bob Bailey and Virginia Gregg, originally broadcast September 18, 1950, 74 years ago,  Cover For an Hour. A messenger boy locks George in the closet, but for what reason? And then there's that dead body found in the closet...named George Valentine! Blackmail of sort and another murder soon follows. 

Then Mystery In The Air starring Peter Lorre, originally broadcast September 18, 1947, 77 years ago, The Black Cat.  The classic tale about the man who kills his wife and hides her body behind a brick wall.

Followed by Night Watch starring Donn Reed, originally broadcast September 18, 1954, 70 years ago.   The first call is about two suspects caught while stripping a car. 

Finally, Lum and Abner, originally broadcast September 18, 1944, 80 years ago,  The Trial Begins. The case of "Polk County vs. Lum Edwards" begins. The first witness called against Lum is Abner, who isn't very helpful!.
