Going back in time to that insurrection day, January 6 2021, reflections come. As with this poem (off by one year, mea culpa s'il vous plait) Donald and Dear Dad Fred interacted, his father still in his mind today impelling him to Never Surrender. Relect with me, with credits to Mary Trump, psychologist and niece
Jimmy Buffett helped us change our latitudes and our attitudes as we followed his beloved, happy, sometimes philosophic, energetic music. Millions of us Buffett fans around the globe are still grieving while listening and celebrating Jimmy's tunes. When I watched the spontaneous Key West parade for Jimmy during Labor Day weekend 2023, it inspired me to write my personal reaction to this vast gulf that had opened up in our lives when Jimmy surprisingly (to me and many others). 'When I Get Emotional (for Jimmy Buffett)' may express your emotions and perspective. It is a 3-minute embellished video with surf and some of Jimmy's key lyrics. To our Mother Mother Ocean, Jimmy, and the joy of music.

46:00 Conclusion
Jeffrey Smith, the leading spokesperson concerning the dangers of genetically engineered food and microbes, is interviewed by Claude Mayers.
GMO = Genetically Modified Organism
Your 'foods' can be killing you! Synthetic foods produced in labs using the latest imprecise technology of gene-editing is discussed -- which Mr. Smith calls “GMO 2.0.” Resulting mutant microbes and toxic foods can threaten our health and that of the planet. Cancer-causing chemical poison glyphosate (main ingredient in “Roundup”), sprayed a few days pre-harvest on currently non-GMO wheat, oats, garbanzo beans, etc., without any labelling/indication for the consumer, in addition to being sprayed on GMO “Roundup Ready” crops like corn, canola, soy, cottonseed (many of you eat cottonseed as an oil that is part of your baked products; check your ingredients), sugar beets (~55% of USA sugar comes from GMO sugar beets), & zucchini, is revealed. The benefits of organic food to avoid these dangers, and heal those adversely afflicted by their GMO-laden diet, are offered. The cheap availability of gene-editing kits like CRISPR costing as little as $169 for home use, or in high school science classes -- then the resulting microbes randomly produced, being flushed down the drain to disperse into our water, soil, and air -- is also revealed.
Mr. Smith lists diseases of the gut, nervous system, immune system as possibly being caused by a diet contaminated with GMOs and herbicides/pesticides, like glyphosate. This includes intestinal disorders, cancers, autism, brain fog, hypertension. His movie “Secret Ingredients” follows the DiChiare family, where marathon runner mother Kathleen becomes unable to walk, three children develop autism, but all are improved to near normal levels with a strict organic diet, avoiding toxic chemicals like glyphosate whenever possible.
Also discussed is Europe's media reporting the scandal around the firing of chief researcher Arpad Pusztai of Scotland’s Rowett Institute, resulting in Europe essentially keeping grocery shelves free of GMOs, in contrast to the USA. In Europe, if any food has more than 1% GMO ingredients, then the food must be labelled GMO. In essence, the USA has no labelling requirements for GMOs. Americans are generally ignorant about the dangers of GMOs, in comparison to our more scientifically informed European brethren.
Microbes and our microbiome being adversely affected by the newest processes of gene-editing are discussed. Mr. Smith quotes Nature magazine stating such gene-editing can cause “chromosomal mayhem.” Kiran Krishnan, microbiologist, is quoted as saying “80 percent of human diseases have their source in imbalance in our microbiome.” The microbiome, the unique personal population of cells and microbes that are part of each of us, that total 10 times more cells than the number of cells of our body, is related to illness and health. “We didn’t need a pandemic to tell us microbes can travel, mutate, swap genes with other microbes.” Bacteria in close proximity exchange genes; have what Mr. Smith calls “bacterial sex.” Imagine what could happen if some pathologic microbes are produced, and infiltrate nature’s sacred realm, which could rapidly happen worldwide, as what happened with COVID-19.
FYI: approximately 95 percent of all corn, canola, soybeans, and cottonseed, in the USA and Canada are GMO. Approximately 55 percent of sugar comes from GMO sugar beets. None of these have to be labelled, as they would have to be if offered in Europe. Wheat, oats, citrus, most other foods and crops other than the above have not become GMO . . . yet. The answer to avoid these basic but GMO versions of these foods: is to eat them in organic form. Raise your own crops in your own healthy garden or on your precious plot of land.
The spirit of Trump is still with us in the halls of white supremacist power. Gov Brian Kemp of Georgia signalled to the white policemen present in the Georgia State Capitol last week on 3-25-21 to arrest Ga Representative Park Cannon for daring to knock on the closed doors where/while Kemp was signing the state's racist voter suppression bill into law, flanked by six old white men, with the idyllic painting of a sunlit slavery plantation behind them as a backdrop. 244 other similar bills have been proposed all across the USA in 43 states, by Republicans who cannot win without keeping potential antagonistic voters away. Included in the Georgia bill that discriminates against people of color and poor people, extremely reducing number of dropboxes in black and hispanic neighborhoods, cutting back places to vote, and numbers of days for early voting, including only allowing one Sunday when black voters can visit polling places transported with fellow church members in their "souls to the polls" campaign. The most egregious and cruelly insane of all the components of the new law is the criminalizing of sharing water and food with people forced to wait in terribly long lines for hours because of the discriminatory practices the law will perpetuate and worsen.
The reference to the former Chilean dictator Pinochet popped onto the page probably because praise for this horrible mass-murderer is surfacing recently in right wing autocratic media. And you know about Auschwitz. Where the ovens burned night and day immolating Jews and gypsies in the days of Adolf Hitler.
Newly elected Senator Rafael Warnock, who happens to also be the pastor for Rep. Cannon, at the Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta - where the Reverend Martin Luther King, Jr. used to preach - has stated "We will keep knocking at that door."
As the good ole boy racist network now stands naked, after so brazenly passing such a monstrous racist law for all to see - - -
Well, the nightmare of being weighed upon by the vulgar racist denigrating consciousness of the now-departing #45 should be over today. Joe Biden and a new era begin this afternoon. This poem was written Jan 18, 2021. May we all unite and love one another again. There's reason. Even if the major factor in the vacuum is the negative of Donald departing from any significant power over 330 Million Americans.
Jan 20 can't come soon enough? At least Trump is hiding away so we don't have to hear that voice of his and all his hateful incapable blaming denigrating words. Even the tweets are toning down. But he is President. And he does have a job for which he is responsible to all of us Americans. Shedding ruination on our nation as he throws his garbage all over the floor as he slowly heads out the door. In spite. And despair. He knows what challenges are ahead of him. So he's sucking the money out of his supporters to pay his lawyers for what is coming in the courts. Though some of those millions will pay for his leisure and his leadership of his frustrated base. And plenty of golf, where he cheats. Ever read 'Commander In Cheat' ?? about his cheating, especially when he plays golf. Where you are supposed to behave honorably when you play and score yourself. HA!
It's almost over. The worst presidential reign in history has 34 days left in which to torture us. Betrayed followers ready to kill for their conman. The veil still covering their corneas in a coat of white pus. Why have decent people been subjected to such gross lying destructive autocratic behavior? And never a word to Putin while having a bullyname for everyone else? Mankind is not what we think we are. Not when we see this specimen leading 70 million fools to treat him like a cult leader. Abandoning us in the face of the worst pandemic in a century. Because he is incapable. All he can do is denigrate, blame, inflame, be the racist that he is and the opportunist. Defacing the nation. That needs a tune-up. The honor we thought was innate in us shown not to be. Not with Trump as the figurehead. Not the leader. And the courts are waiting. Justice holds up an ear for the noontime whistle on Jan 20, 2021. When we will be more relieved of him. But not totally. He'll haunt us with hate and divisiveness. Trying to hold off what he deserves. In the tradition of Trump University and the Trump Foundation and the other lies and scams he dumps on us to coil our consciousness in disgust of what he does, has done, and still will do. A desperate man will do desperate things. It's not over til it's over. And it's not. Until he sits in prison, or time wounds all heals . . .
34 More Days
Yes he and his spirit are still with us. Ruth Bader Ginsburg's spirit still lingers in the ether.....Perhaps the oppressive spirit of Donald Trump will fade and wane, and acceleratingly so - on and after Jan 20th 2021. . . . . Meanwhile it hisses like a snake and smogs over our cities, ranting in our overladen ears from enough is enough....do we EVER want to hear that voice again? OY! . . .
Trump loses. Lies that he won. As if there are no such things as mail-in or absentee voting. Continuing his insanity. Probing bombing Iran. Putting incompetent people into offices in the Pentagon. America threatened by this loser.
