Clay's Canucks Commentary

Thatcher Demko made 25 saves and both Jake DeBrusk and Filip Hronek had two points as the Vancouver Canucks defeated the Colorado Avalanche 3-0.

The new players continued to impress as Filip Chytil, Marcus Pettersson, and Drew O'Connor all had solid outings.

Newcomers Filip Chytil, Marcus Pettersson, and Drew O'Connor all had good performances in the Vancouver Canucks 3-2 loss to the visiting Detroit Red Wings . Quinn Hughes missed the game due to injury and Carson Soucy was a healthy scratch.

Linus Karlsson scored his first career goal and Quinn Hughes notched another two assists in the Canucks' 3-1 win over the Nashville Predators. The Canucks have leapfrogged the Calgary Flames for the second wildcard spot in the Western Conference.

On the heels of the Canucks' first two-game win streak in two months, President Jim Rutherford spoke to Gary Mason of the Globe and Mail....and it has the whole city of Vancouver talking once again about JT Miller and Elias Pettersson.

Quinn Hughes had two assists (including an amazing pass through Ryan Suter) to lead the Canucks to a convincing 5-2 win over the St. Louis Blues. This was the first time the Canucks have won consecutive games since December 1, 2024.

On the heels of their big 2-1 win over the Washington Capitals, the Canucks now embark on an important three game road trip through St. Louis, Nashville, and Dallas.

Dakota Joshua seems ready to return to the line up, defenseman Elias Pettersson is likely to stick (for now), and Kiefer Sherwood may join the team after the first game.

In the highly-anticipated rematch, the Canucks fell behind early (surprise, surprise) and ended up losing 6-2 to the Edmonton Oilers. I bring on Jake (Doodle Hockey) to help me break down the game.

The Canucks currently sit below the playoff bar, albeit by only one point. Do you think the Canucks can still salvage the season?

I wrap up a busy news day for the Canucks: Patrik Allvin met with the media before Canucks practice....a practice that did indeed include JT Miller. Later in the day, we learned about the twin three-game suspensions to Tyler Myers and Connor McDavid.

With trade rumours swirling around JT Miller, he put on a dominant performance last night in the Canucks 3-2 win over the Oilers. In the end, will it make a difference?
