Cleansing The Temple
Jesus and His disciples come back into Jerusalem and as Jesus enters the temple, He sees much that shouldn’t be. As He drives out all those who were buying and selling in the temple as opposed to worshiping He quotes Isaiah 56:7, and Jeremiah 7:11. “And He began to teach and say to them, “Is it not written, ‘My house shall be called a house of prayer for all the nations’? But you have made it a robber’s den.” (Mark 11:17). Jesus displays another teaching moment today where again He poses the question “Is it not written?” as He teaches, and even still the chief priests and scribes seek to destroy Him.

Matthew 21: 12-22
Mark 11: 12-19
