Perry admits, “I feel like I’m caught up in building a monument to myself that reaches to the sky.” Then, “Hold your mic loosely!” It’s a conversation about when ministry becomes an idol and what to do when that happens: “ Clear The Stage.” Next, it was perhaps the greatest storm of Perry’s mom’s life. She did NOT want to go through it, but Jesus called her into it. She said, “Not my will, but yours be done.” Then, Perry admits, “I do things in the name of God and make it about me.” It’s a conversation about the only way to serve God for his glory and not ours. Finally, anything and anyone we love more than God, is an idol. It’s something Perry and Shawna have to repent from every day. And so we call on Jesus to cleanse us inside out.
