    CALM BEFORE THE STORM

Clemson Tigers LIVE 215 / ALL IN SHOW 195
Hosts: Jordan Bowman & Edward “Tiger Paw” Craven (TPC)
    ClemsonVOCFB

Live show with early audio/mic issues, TPC arriving late after a game. Recap of Clemson’s 24-10 win over Cal, injuries, Dabo’s Miami presser, Death Valley preview vs. No. 4 Miami (Clemson +16.5 at home), keys, score predictions, plus Dante Moore, Dylan Stewart, and wrap.

    Open / Technical delays (~00:04–00:09)

Jordan starts alone after audio input problems. Thanks viewers for patience. TPC (Tiger Paul Craven) delayed 10–15 minutes. Shoutouts to chat (John, Air Mike, Isaac, Ridge, Chase). Plug likes, subs, Super Chats, channel memberships (watch-alongs + comment priority).

Big matchup: Clemson vs. Miami in Death Valley. Weather will be a factor.

    Cal recap: 24-10 win (~00:09–00:21)

Not pretty, but Clemson found things that work. 3-1 after LSU and Georgia Southern questions.

    Offense

    • More functional run game: 255 rushing yards. OL had one of its better days (push, vertical displacement). Gideon Davidson continues to play well after UNC.
    • Passing game and Tate Reynolds not a banner day. True freshman QB still limited by decision-making and inexperience (didn’t play senior year of HS). Plays are there; execution isn’t. Offense capped against better teams. 17 offensive points. “This is by no means a good offense.” Staff rolling with punches.
    • Growth not linear — Tate “pretty pedestrian” / regressed after UNC.
    • Defense

      • Creative DL personnel with thin DT room (Devarik Woods out). Darion Mayo slid inside, more Champ Thompson and Cadence Story. Mixed groupings to get snaps. Pressure on JKS; he never got comfortable. Edge pressure strong (Wilhelm, London Merritt as game-wrecker — more snaps).
      • Secondary the strength: Ashton Hampton, Elliot Washington (2 INTs), Ronan Hanafin one of his best games, Donovan Starr more work without Corian Gibson. Few busts even vs. LSU. Multiple batted balls, PBUs, turnovers. Only 3 points allowed. Need consistent front-four pressure.
      • Special teams

        • Unsung hero. Nolan Hauser finally missed one. Brian Wesco punt-return TD (first in a while). Rick Passaccia’s unit: excellent punt coverage, no explosives. Jordan eats crow on questioning Wesco’s return role after injury — “one of the differences in the game.”
        • Two phases rounding into form; offense still the limiter. Hard to see this group scoring enough vs. powerful offenses. Saturday vs. Miami will require Reynolds’ best game.

          Injuries (~00:22–00:25)
          • Elijah Thurman (OL, experienced) — not long-term, but not ideal. Gavin Blanchard solid in relief. More Grant Wise, Easton Ware. Building OL depth under Matt Luke.
          • David Ezio-Mume carted off — looks season-ending.
          • Hoping Devarik Woods (DT) returns; room already thin.
          • Corian Gibson (nickel starter) — secondary playing well without him.
          • Courtney Kelly (DT, spring ACL) getting close; huge boost if available later, unlikely Saturday.
          • Dabo: many “day-to-day.” Tough to project this far out.
Dabo presser / staff mindset (~00:25–00:34)

Dabo complimentary as always but more conviction than usual: Miami is the toughest matchup of the year (better than LSU). Staff understands they must play their best football of the season by a significant margin just to compete. Clemson a 16.5-point home underdog — last time that happened in Death Valley? Neither host can remember one in the Dabo era (maybe Tommy West days).

TPC: Honest, not coaching-speak. Fast start required. First-half Cal mishaps/turnovers/procedural issues vs. this Miami team = down 28 before the first quarter ends. Night game, Chris Fowler/Kirk Herbstreit, raucous Valley. Challenge is keeping fans in it after slow starts this year.

Jordan: Wish the game was later so the team could build more. Opportunity to change the narrative, but not sure they’re ready. If they get blown out, “this team hasn’t gotten any better” narrative will be loud even if incremental progress exists. Attitude in the building matters — this is only game 5.

            Miami preview (~00:39–01:24)

Miami 4-0, top-5, video-game statistical profile. Darian Mensah ~88% completion, 1,200+ yards, 14 TDs, 0 INTs. Malachi Toney (true soph) already 500+ yards, 6 TDs — 1B to Jeremiah Smith’s 1A. Still have Cooper Barkley and other weapons. Shannon Dawson OC. Best team Clemson has played.

Clemson offense averaging just over 21 ppg (near bottom nationally). Miami averaging 40+. Polar opposites. Line 47.5 total — weather + respect for Clemson secondary.

Path for Clemson: control clock, limit Miami to 8–10 possessions, run the ball, special-teams spark (another Wesco return?), win turnover margin (Clemson hasn’t done it yet; Miami rarely turns it over). Cannot hang the defense out repeatedly. Tate cannot do too much — play within Chad Morris’ confines, use legs.

Defense is legit and the best Miami has faced. Tom Allen maximizing players. Secondary (Hampton as leader) can challenge Miami. Fast start + Death Valley juice can keep it close through a half. 16.5 is a lot of points.

Keys to the game (TPC emphasis)
            • Run the ball effectively.
            • Limit Miami possessions (8–10).
            • Special-teams spark.
            • Win turnover margin.
            • Bend-don’t-break defense, force field goals. Stay in it into the fourth. Cannot shoot out.
            • Weather could help Clemson if it becomes a defensive/grind game, but also makes an already-anemic passing attack harder.

              Score predictions (~01:25–01:39)

Jordan: Miami 24, Clemson 14. Defense gets stops; offense won’t muster enough. Competitive, not embarrassed — but that is possible. Hard to look past passing struggles.

TPC: Miami 27, Clemson 17. Doesn’t see Miami covering 16.5. Weather + secondary + fight in this team (polar opposite of last year’s quitters). Leaders like Sammy Brown and Ashton Hampton. Valley will be rocking. 16.5 too many; they’d rather play the total. Unwritten rule: they don’t bet Clemson games.

Both on the “optimistic loss” side. A competitive 3-2 heading into the bye is what most expected. A Week 1 LSU-style showing at home cannot happen — that would make the three-game win streak look like fool’s gold.

              Chat predictions encouraged. FanDuel plug.

              Other topics / chat (~01:40–end)
              • Dante Moore (Oregon/USC hit): Both think one-game suspension too light (minimum three). Bad hit, could have pulled up. Celebration/smiling/dapping while player on spine board for 8+ minutes is disgusting. University-written apology. Lincoln Riley’s postgame comments made it worse; reporters at least asked hard questions. “Lincoln Riley’s a doofus.”
              • Dylan Stewart (South Carolina): Indefinite suspension after punch + repeated sideline walk-offs from Beamer and assistants. Body language, public defiance. Gamecock friends say it wasn’t isolated. Hate-losing is fine; lack of control isn’t. Beamer never held him accountable because he’s Dylan Stewart — now it’s national TV. If Beamer brings him back he has no locker-room authority. Draft stock hit (still a freak, but costing money). Beamer: decision is “up to me.”
              • Protect College Sports Act: Passed Senate. House in recess; no vote before elections. Don’t get excited yet — government gonna government.
              • Braves mention, Pick’em Challenge: 8-11 last week, tied for 3rd. Another Pick’em show later in the week (likely Thursday). Community tab for time.
              • Channel members shoutouts (John, Air Mike, etc.). Memberships again.
              • Sign-off ~10:30 p.m. after late start. Postgame Saturday (another late one). “Go Tigers.” Jordan Bowman & Tiger Paul Craven.

              • CLEMSON - California Postgame LIVE

Clemson 24, Cal 10 — ClemsonVOCFB Postgame Live

Hosts: Jordan Bowman & Edward “Tiger Paw” Craven (PPC)
Clemson 3-1, 2-0 ACC | Late-night Friday West Coast trip

                Intro (1:38–5:00)
                • Clemson 24, Cal 10. Tigers improve to 3-1 (2-0 ACC).
                • FanDuel line closed Clemson -2.5 after other books had Cal slight favorite.
                • Thanks to members-only stream and late-night viewers. PPC: “Not the prettiest of wins, but also not the ugliest… I’ll take a win where I can get it.”
                • Game was circled preseason; became even more important after early-season results. Needed two phases to show up; got defense + special teams plus enough run game.
                • Offense (5:00–20:50)
                  • 255 rushing yards on 49 carries. Game plan was run-heavy vs. Cal, exactly what they previewed on All In Show.
                  • Gideon Davison: 22-159, 7.2 YPC, 75-yard TD. First big explosive Clemson run in a long time.
                  • Jarvis Green: Vision, patience, extra-yard toughness. “The more I see, the more I like.”
                  • Tate Reynolds: Not a banner day. Strong arm, struggles with downfield accuracy. Freshman mistakes — INT on first drive (should have eaten the sack), fumble scoop-and-score. Still “a guy you can play with.” Needs to learn when to throw it away.
                  • Passing game limited. Tyler Brown leading receiver (3-29) plus a 27-yard run; looks like his freshman-year self. TJ Moore and Bryant Wesco had steps but weren’t hit. Tight ends (OPH flash catch, Christian Bensiker mixed) got some work.
                  • OL mixed/up-and-down all year but showed growth. Elijah Thurman went down; Gavin Blanchard stepped in quietly and played well. Line got better as Cal wore down in the second half (similar to UNC second half). Possessed the ball and leaned on Cal’s DL.
                  • Persistent issues: procedural errors, burned timeouts, first-half penalties (holding, etc.), disjointed execution. “Hot and cold” — one drive 80+ yards, next drive self-inflicted. Consistency still the biggest need.
                  • Jordan picked 24 points; they hit it and ran for 255. Run game is what a freshman QB needs.
                  • Defense (20:50–34:00) — Star of the night
                    • Cal limited to 3 offensive points. Other score was Tate’s fumble return TD.
                    • Rushing: 86 yards on 26 carries (3.3 YPC). Made a poor rushing offense look poor.
                    • Passing: JKS 16-of-29, 119 yards, 0 TD, 2 INT. Longest pass was a trick-play double pass. Cal 17-of-30 for 145 total.
                    • Secondary elite. Ashton Hampton “an eraser,” sticky in man, putting up first-round tape (hosts say top-15 / no-doubt first-rounder if this continues). Elliott Washington two interceptions (one immediately after a PI, one to end the game) — “nose for the football.”
                    • Safeties (Jerome Carter rotation, Ronan Hannafin) communicated well on shot plays. Corey Myrick “headhunter” mentality praised.
                    • Front: Pressure affected JKS even without a huge sack total. Champ Thompson + Jeremiah Alexander sack. Darien Mayo (3-DE sets, filling DT) batted two passes including a would-be TD. Tom Allen scheming around DT injuries (Devarik Woods out, others already missing). Tackling still inconsistent — several TFLs that became 7–10 yard gains.
                    • “If your defense allows 3 points, you should win. That’s what they did.”
                    • Special Teams (37:40–41:20)
                      • Bryant Wesco punt-return TD. First Clemson punt-return score in ~8 years (last recalled as Amari Rogers vs. BC). Fielded at a sprint, great blocking (hands-up “get in the way” technique). Erased the earlier fumble TD.
                      • Nolan first miss of the season (Jordan called it on the members stream). Decision to kick was fine; he’s been automatic.
                      • Dedicated ST coordinator paying dividends — special teams a plus all four games.
                      • Injuries & misc
                        • Clemson: Elijah Thurman (OL) out; Gavin Blanchard filled in. David Eze (special teams) air-casted after freak collision — likely season-ending.
                        • Cal: Adam Muhammad (best offensive weapon) out; offense much less dynamic after.
                        • Penalties and officiating both sides sloppy at times (inconsistent PI). First-quarter penalty pace was ugly; cleaned up some in second half.
                        • Both teams had self-inflicted wounds. “Brutal game.”
                        • Big-picture takeaways & next
                          • Complete team win: 255 rush yards + shutdown defense + ST TD. Not a playoff or ACC-title team; still a young, growing group with a freshman QB. Aspects (secondary, emerging run game, ST) are legit; the whole team is not.
                          • Growing pains will continue. Clean up procedure, tackling, deep-ball accuracy, consistency.
                          • Next: Miami at Memorial Stadium. Hosts will preview Tuesday on The All In Show (8 p.m.). “We’ll talk about that game when it’s time.”
                          • Shout-outs to members, late-night viewers, rewatch squad. Go Tigers.

                          • Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.

                            0:01:37

Jordan Bowman opens late after technical issues. Shout-outs to new viewers (“Clemson sucks sometimes — that’s good for the channel”), long-haulers, and channel members.

Friday night at Cal (Berkeley) is a late kick. Postgame will be “ACC After Dark” / witching-hour territory. Hit the notification bell.

                            0:03:16

TBC joins. Another weather-delay week for Clemson (minimum ~2.5 hours in 2026). Joke that Week 4 might finally be delay-free — or the postgame live will roll into Sunday afternoon. Perspective: at least they’re not NC State after Saturday.

North Carolina recap — 28-20 comeback (17-3 deficit)

                            0:05:38

ACC opener in Death Valley. Tate Reynolds’ first start. Offense “exploded” by Clemson standards in the second half.

                            TBC’s three offensive positives

                            0:06:43

                            1. QB clarity — Tate Reynolds is the guy. Freshman who missed his senior year of high school, fiery, brings a dynamic Chris Vazina didn’t. Growing pains coming, but fans can rally around him.
                            2. OL combination — Still not fixed, but second-half film showed them re-establishing the LOS, moving bodies, and getting the run game going. Need to see it again.
                            3. Chad Morris adjustments — Exploited UNC/Belichick front aggressiveness with verticals off swings and bubbles. In-game adjustments were real even if UNC isn’t elite.
                            4. 0:10:04 Jordan: Big-picture view of the team hasn’t changed much. Marked improvement Saturday, but plenty of flaws remain on both sides. Progress isn’t linear — regression possible at Cal. Biggest takeaway is fight. LSU wasn’t quitting; they just didn’t know what they were doing. Now it’s execution and fundamentals. Elliot Washington: “that win was for Dabo.” Team isn’t quitting. 2-1 heading to Berkeley. Miami next after Cal — don’t get ahead.

0:15:43 Tyler Brown plane-ride watch: The Vampire Diaries. Download the All In Show for the cross-country flight.

                              Injuries

                              0:17:57

                              • Corian Gibson (nickel) — One series vs UNC, couldn’t continue. Game-time decision Friday; hosts lean toward holding him. Secondary still played well without him. Hope he’s 100% for Miami.
                              • Jay Haynes — Another setback. Hasn’t played since tearing ACL in the 2024 ACC Championship. Compared to Troy Stellato injury luck. Room is okay with Gideon Davidson, Jarvis Green, Chris Johnson Jr., but Haynes is the change-of-pace/speed/receiving piece they wanted.
                              • Overall injury situation “pretty blessed” compared with Miami. Depth is thin, so every absence hits harder.

                                Standouts through three games

                                0:33:05 (TBC) / 0:29:32 (Jordan)

                                Offense

                                • Tate Reynolds — Jump from Georgia Southern to UNC start: better reads, accuracy, decision-making. Deep ball still needs work.
                                • Brian Wesco & TJ Moore — Consistent, as advertised. Need the ball more; Wesco has to finish catches.
                                • Gideon Davidson — Version they saw Saturday makes the offense better.
                                • Jarvis Green — Natural runner (minus the “butt fumble”).
                                • Olsen Pat Henry (OPH) — Elite blocker, graded out extremely well Saturday. Tight ends (OPH + Christian Banneker) finally involved; tough matchups in Morris offense.
                                • Perimeter blocking from WRs/TEs has been a quiet plus; screens and outside runs not getting blown up.
                                • Defense

                                  • Wilhelm — 4 sacks through 3 games, on pace for 12 (would be most by a Clemson DE since Shaq Lawson 12.5 / Kevin Dodd 12 in 2015; Clelin Ferrell era also referenced). Disruptive even without sacks. NIL investment paying off. Effort/leadership every snap.
                                  • Ashton Hampton — Lockdown corner, zero PI flags, pick vs LSU, vocal, trash-talk that he backs up. Energizes the defense.
                                  • Corey Myrick — 2nd in ACC in tackles as a safety. Played as a box/LB hybrid; involved in the run game and solid in coverage. Favorite “headhunter” on the defense.
                                  • Jerome Carter — Valuable portal addition alongside Myrick. “The portal works.”
                                  • Cal preview — Friday night, Berkeley

                                    0:35:27

Clemson 1.5-point favorite (FanDuel). Line can move. Circled game in the offseason for different reasons now.

                                    Cal snapshot

                                    • First-year HC, new coordinators, heavy portal imports.
                                    • Results: loss to rival UCLA (competitive then poured on in 2H), nail-biter vs Syracuse, bye vs Wagner. Still figuring themselves out.
                                    • QB JKS / Dron Kiowa Sangapola-Tele — True sophomore, bright future, prolific passer, will be high on draft boards. Offense built around him.
                                    • Run game ~106 ypg. Defense has shown flaws. Talent is there; depth better than UNC’s.
                                    • Why it’s uncomfortable for Clemson

                                      • Short week + cross-country travel + Friday night + never played at Cal’s Memorial Stadium.
                                      • Cal playing with house money at home.
                                      • Clemson interior DL is a three-game soft spot; hosts fear Cal’s run game jumps. If the run goes, JKS gets easier looks.
                                      • Clemson secondary is the best JKS has faced; Cal secondary is also respectable. Mutual firsts.
                                      • Wilhelm will be the best edge Cal has seen.
                                      • Jordan does not trust a 30-point Clemson shootout. Prefers a shortened, run-heavy game that keeps Cal’s offense off the field. Defense holding Cal to 17 would be a win for that unit.

24–21 (possible Nolan Hauser late FG)

Both expect a tight, under-leaning game. TBC: Cal’s QB edge + home + Clemson offensive regression vs a deeper front. Jordan: emotion off the UNC grit win, “that one was for Coach,” belief in Tate long-term, late Hauser kick narrative.

They’ve been 100% aligned on every prior pick (LSU loss, Georgia Southern, UNC). One of them takes the first L this week.

Tied for 3rd with 24 points. Went 7-for-11 last week (comment section correctly picked Clemson; missed South Carolina). New slate not out yet — possible midweek live to let chat pick again. Goal: keep averaging 7/11.

                                        1:15:24

                                        • Offense now has 30+ minutes of “knowing what clicking tastes like.” Can it carry? Hosts: UNC depth issues + gassed late vs Cal’s better rotation.
                                        • Shootout scores from chat (34-24, 35-34, etc.) met with skepticism until Clemson actually scores 30.
                                        • Trust Tate on a true two-minute game-winner? Light version at end of first half vs UNC should have been a TD (poor execution, spiked instead of hitting wide-open OPH). Helmet comms mystery.
                                        • JKS vs Clemson secondary — best DBs he’s seen; Wilhelm best DE Cal has seen.
                                        • Low-scoring 17-10 / 23-7 type games favor Clemson.
                                        • Tate off-platform throw to Wesco while getting hit compared to Tajh Boyd. Can’t be taught; BYOG/Seld influence possible. Upside and pick risk on late throws.
                                        • Chad Morris 2.0 grade: too early. Scheme looks like classic Morris. In-game UNC adjustments were the best tape. Hosts argue program did Morris (and the last three OCs) a disservice by not portal-shopping a starting QB and OL. Graham Neff said the money was there. Tate shouldn’t have to start as a true freshman, even if he’s the right guy now. OL was the bigger miss — Vazina never had a chance vs LSU. Mixed bag so far; stay in the box if that’s where the adjustments came from.

Hosts: Jordan Bowman & Edward “Tiger Paw” Craven (TBC)
ACC opener. Clemson overcomes a 14-point deficit and a 2.5-hour weather delay. Gritty, imperfect win after a slow start.

                                          Intro & Game Frame

                                          00:02:41 – 00:05:30

Final: Clemson 28, UNC 20. Hosts note they expected a “rock fight” and largely got one — just not the way they pictured. Better to dissect flaws after a win. Members-only watch-along ran nearly six hours because of the delay. Lightning “lit a fire” under the Tigers after the stoppage; second half looked different.

Offense — Tate Reynolds’ First Start

                                          00:06:00 – 00:11:20

True freshman Tate Reynolds in his first start against a better DL. Early: pressing, some off-target throws, missed easy opportunities (INT that should have been a TD; sailed deep ball to Wesco). Grew as the game went on — better command, zone-read decisions improved massively vs. the prior week, stiff-arms, first career TD pass to Christian Bentiker that visibly changed his energy/swagger. Deep ball still inaccurate. Hosts: “This is your guy. Ride or die.” Chris Fazzina loyal but it’s Tate’s team now. Expect hiccups.

                                          00:11:20 – 00:16:00

Chad Morris still an open question. Hosts were critical of the hire and of Dabo not adding enough portal help (QB, OL). First-half execution poor; second half cleaner. Morris showed schematic wrinkles (same formation as screens/swings, then vertical to OPH for a chunk). Don’t get cute when the run is working — keep pounding it like UNC did early with power. Plays were there; Tate has to hit them sooner and lead receivers away from safeties.

                                          Offensive Line & Run Game

                                          00:16:00 – 00:21:50

OL bad early (little movement, inconsistent). Better second half — more pride, technique, physicality. 185 rush yards, 5+ YPC (some long runs). Combination that looked best: Easton Ware at RT + Grant Wise (true freshman) at RG, left side/center mostly unchanged. Gap-scheme runs improved; holes opened. Matt Luke still has to lock in a five.

Gideon Davidson’s best game as a Tiger: 100+ yards, TD that gave Clemson the lead for good, toughness on short yardage, vision. Responded after early-season criticism and “not locked in” comments. Jarvis Green: good vision, tough runner, limited touches; unfortunate “butt fumble” after a nice cut. Tyler Brown 34-yard TD on a broken play that should have been a TFL — all him.

                                          Skill Players

                                          00:21:50 – 00:24:20

Tyler Brown, TJ Moore, Brian Wesco (5-77) all had moments. Tate started hitting them in stride later. Tight ends capitalized on limited chances — Bentiker trucks a defender and stays up for the TD; OPH free-release sideline chunk. Decent perimeter blocking, few drops. Glimpses of what the offense can be when the run game and OL give Tate a chance.

                                          Defense

                                          00:22:20 – 00:26:20 (transition) + 00:26:20 – 00:38:10

Ugly first quarter: ~120 yards allowed, two TDs + FG. UNC running power at will vs. the interior. Settled in after that. Secondary was the star unit — most improved group from 2025 to 2026. Corners and safeties (Corey Myrick, Jerome Carter, Ronan Hannafin, Elliot Washington, Ashton Hampton) covered well, supported the run, limited UNC pass-catchers. Jelani Thurman a non-factor after Q1; Billy Edwards ineffective as a passer. Experienced G5 safeties + length/speed make everything easier. Ashton Hampton playing with constant energy; hosts say he might be the team’s best player right now (no shade to Sammy Brown).

Interior DL remains the glaring issue: little push, get moved, create lanes. Will be exploited weekly. Champ Thompson most consistent so far; Amari Adams big third-down stop coming out of the delay; Vic Burley fumble recovery. Goal-line/fourth-and-1 stand: UNC play-action, Jerome Carter stays home — “wouldn’t have seen that last year.” Edges (Will Helt sack, London Merritt, Jaheim Lawson) get pressure and have upside but over-pursue and lose contain at times. Need a full-game version of their good snaps.

                                          Special Teams

                                          00:38:10 – 00:42:20

Best phase all year. Nolan Hauser (“Hoosier”) automatic — miss in practice, lights-out on game day. Rich Bisaccia’s impact obvious: coverage next-to-flawless, strategy, well-coached unit after years of ST being a Clemson weakness even in championship seasons. Chris Johnson Jr. nice return for field position. Jack Smith one poor early punt (UNC starts at Clemson 47), cleaned up after. ST generating turnovers and limiting mistakes has kept Clemson in games.

Second-Half Energy, Delay, Tyler Brown TD Debate

                                          00:42:20 – 00:47:20

After the 2.5-hour delay the stands were nearly empty (small student section + scattered fans). Sideline energy was high — jumping, towels, hyping each other when the crowd wasn’t there. First-half energy had been missing.

Tyler Brown’s late TD instead of going down: some Twitter criticism. Hosts defend it. Offense needed the confidence/momentum after three ugly weeks. UNC had no timeouts; if they drive the length of the field and tie it, Clemson deserved to lose. On a better team you’d kneel; this team needed to see the ball go in the end zone.

                                          Looking Ahead & Other Games

                                          00:47:20 – 01:05:00

1-0 in ACC. Next: Cal on the road (10:30 kick). Cal is a better team than UNC, especially on offense. A first-half repeat like this one likely gets the game out of hand. Need to start faster.

Chat/picks recap: members flipped their Clemson spread pick. Vandy covered after the wild NC State end-zone fumble + extra point (hosts lost their minds on the members stream). Kentucky dominated Texas A&M second half (Will Stein/Kenny Minchey early returns good). Alabama-FSU, SMU-Louisville, etc. discussed live. Pop-Tart Bowl would feel like a success given where this roster is.

                                          • Overall tone from hosts: take the win, credit the second-half/after-delay response and individual growth (Tate, Davidson, secondary, ST), but this is still a flawed team that cannot afford first-half disasters against better opponents. Building-block game, not a statement.

                                            Show snapshot

Rescheduled from the night before (TPC birthday). Tone is blunt: 7-6 last year plus two ugly weeks in 2026 has turned a “rebuild year” into something they can’t afford. Offense is the blinking red light. Defense bounced back vs. Georgia Southern. Dabo named true freshman Tate Reynolds the starter over Christopher Vazina (performance-based, not injury). First ACC game is North Carolina at home.

                                            Timestamped segments (clip-friendly)

                                            ~2:21–7:00 — Open

~7:00–21:00 — Georgia Southern recap (22-7): the O-line is the problem

                                            • TPC after sleeping on it: still not good. Rebuild was expected after last year’s roster losses, but 7-6 last year removed any grace period.
                                            • O-line: “abysmal.” Whipped in pass pro and zone. Backside DEs making TFLs. Holds and false starts at home. Best PFF grade mentioned: 62.6.
                                            • Matt Luke still has TPC’s belief, but results have to match. Chad Morris said it didn’t look like spring and the offense lacked “juice” vs. past Clemson teams.
                                            • No Blake Miller-type leader. Harris Sewell (experience) and Colin Sadler not playing well enough to lead by example; Sewell had poor snaps. Most talented guy is still a true sophomore. Should have taken at least two portal linemen.
                                            • Analogy: nice car, V8, dead battery. Skill talent and QB upside don’t matter if the line can’t block.
                                            • Culture/mentality/want-to can’t be installed in one week.
                                            • ~21:00–24:45 — Defense positives

Much improved vs. Georgia Southern (low rushing yards allowed, TFLs, pressure). Will Helt had a day. Highest graded: Ashton Hampton (~82.5 coverage). Sammy Brown and Jaheim Lawson next. Stars answered after the LSU disaster. True test is UNC — expect them to land between “LSU bad” and “Georgia Southern good.”

~24:46–39:00 — QB1: Tate Reynolds over Christopher Vazina

Dabo: not injury-driven; performance-based. They’re riding Tate barring disaster.

                                              • Jordan was high on Tate in spring; expected him to win it by camp. Veteran who isn’t clearly better than the freshman should lose to the higher ceiling.
                                              • TPC: Vazina inaccuracy + O-line problems made Tate the practical choice (athleticism, throw-on-run, live arm, legs). First drive after the INT was a long, different-looking drive.
                                              • They like Vazina as a person and teammate (loyal, waited his turn, top-100 recruit). He got the short end of roster construction. Hope he transfers and starts elsewhere (one year left). Thank God he’s still the backup — Tate’s style + this line = injury risk.
                                              • “If we’re going to be a bad team in 2026, grow the young QB.” Decision-making has to improve; lumps will come.
                                              • ~39:00 onward — UNC / ACC opener + pick’em (new segment)

First conference game. They expect another late kick (2:30 earliest, possibly 9:30 again). Score lean from later in the show: Jordan 17–14 Clemson; TPC in the same low-scoring neighborhood. Both take the under. UNC third-down D is weak; red-zone D is not. Clemson third-down offense is terrible (avg. to-go mentioned ~9+ yards). Rushing before contact ~1 yard. They are not confident the line suddenly blocks.

                                                • Virginia −10.5 vs. West Virginia → both take WVU +10.5 (letdown spot; too many points). Chat wanted Virginia.
                                                • Vanderbilt −3.5 vs. NC State → TPC Vandy cover; Jordan NC State / cover lean, road struggles scare him. Chat Vandy.
                                                • LSU at Ole Miss (Ole Miss +3) → both Ole Miss outright and cover. Lane return, Vaught-Hemingway, Chambliss over Levitt (Levitt doubtful anyway; even if he played they’d still lean Rebels). Golding knows the Kiffin offense. Chat agreed.
                                                • UConn at Southern Miss (USM +3) — “crap game of the week.” Both Southern Miss +3 (Brett Favre logic).
                                                • Clemson −3.5 vs. UNC → Jordan UNC cover (17–14). TPC wanted UNC cover too but let chat take Clemson.
                                                • South Carolina −4 vs. Mississippi State → both South Carolina cover. Chat split; they stuck with Gamecocks. Kamario Taylor hype vs. Williams-Brice / Beamer-at-home games.
                                                • Standings mention: last week 7-of-11; they’ve been profitable. Plug Carolina Jackpot / Rob.

                                                  Late chat / BYOG-sell / wrap (~2:08–end)

                                                  • Tate TDs vs. baseball games: they hope TDs; QB1 may kill the baseball plan.
                                                  • 100 rushing yards: TPC sells (86–87 possible). Season YPC and yards-before-contact are brutal.
                                                  • Multi-TD game: Jordan buys (his 17 points); TPC sells on UNC red-zone D — more likely 4–5 FGs.
                                                  • London Merritt flashed; first DE off the bench, more snaps in 3-DE/NASCAR packages.
                                                  • Jaheim Lawson: one bad game (LSU), one solid (74 pass-rush grade vs. Georgia Southern). Pressures more than sacks so far.
                                                  • Super chat score: Clemson 17, UNC 24. Adam troll score UNC 40–Clemson −6.
                                                  • Member thanks, Saturday watch-along plug, back Tuesday 8 p.m.
                                                    Core takeaways for an article
                                                    1. O-line is the season. Not the only problem, but it magnifies everything. No leadership, no juice, simple schemes not executed. Matt Luke’s unit has to find pride this week or Tate may not survive.
                                                    2. Tate is the guy. Higher ceiling, mobility that can paper over a bad line, live arm. Vazina was loyal and not a scrub; the roster around him was a disservice.
                                                    3. Defense is the hope. Bounce-back was real even if Georgia Southern isn’t a measuring stick. UNC is the first honest look.
                                                    4. Expectations are in the basement. Coaches saying “not that far away” is “hoopla” until they prove it. This is not a good 2026 team; the job is to grow Tate and not get anyone killed up front.
                                                    5. UNC game script they believe: ugly, low-scoring, field-goal heavy, possible cover for the visitor. Under is the cleanest lean they shared.

Final: Clemson 22, Georgia Southern 7

                                                      Open / Housekeeping

                                                      ~1:11–5:00

                                                      • Jordan: “Well, that was a game that happened. Clemson 22, Georgia Southern 7.”
                                                      • Delayed the usual late-night postgame; members-only watch-along already ran Saturday night and both hosts were fading.
                                                      • First Sunday Clemson postgame live on the channel.
                                                      • Chat: Keep Chopping — “congrats… that one got a little hairy.” Show Out — “they got to make tape to start the rest of the year.” Dr. Chef was at the game: “it was awful.”
                                                      • Defense — The Main Positive

                                                        ~5:47–12:30

                                                        What they liked
                                                        • Defense “acquitted themselves pretty well” vs. an inferior opponent after the LSU demolition.
                                                        • Georgia Southern’s only TD: busted coverage. Elliot Washington fell; Ronan Hannafin didn’t rotate. “Should have been made.”
                                                        • Front seven: consistent pressure. Three-DE packages a theme because DT room is thin.
                                                        • Standouts: Will Helt (big day), Jaheim Lawson, London Merritt.
                                                        • LBs flying around. Secondary still a strength: Ashton Hampton (near circus INT), Corey Myrick physical, Hannafin flashing with mistakes.
                                                        • Numbers they hammered
                                                          • Georgia Southern: 22 rush yards on 18 carries (1.2 YPC).
                                                          • “Anytime you hold any team to 22 yards rushing, that’s a pretty good day for your front seven.” Asterisk: it’s Georgia Southern.
                                                          • Only 7 points allowed, and that one score was the coverage bust.
                                                          • Caveats
                                                            • Not a “lights out rest of the year” tape. LSU still hangs over them.
                                                            • GS QB missed some throws that could have been chunk plays.
                                                            • First ACC game next week (North Carolina) is the real test.
                                                            • After LSU’s 300+ rush yards (a lot in the first half), this was the bounce-back they needed: edge, fire, guys hyping each other.
                                                            • TPC bottom line: DL got consistent pressure; back end looks improved from last year. Still expect struggles down the stretch.

Special Teams — Why the Score Wasn’t Closer

                                                              ~12:30–15:20

                                                              • Nolan Hauser: 5-for-5 FGs. “Main source of offense last night.”
                                                              • Punting (Jackson) solid. Muff-punt recovery (Jackson Reach cited).
                                                              • Bryant Wesco: big return, but both hosts still hate him returning punts. Too valuable on offense; high-risk play. Coaches (and Wesco) don’t agree.
                                                              • Special teams “the only reason the score was as wide as it was.”
                                                              • Offense — Skill Players (the other positives)

                                                                ~15:20–17:10

                                                                • TJ Moore: 7 catches, TD. Main target. One play he’d like back.
                                                                • Tyler Brown: healthy, comfortable. Big 3rd-down conversion from Tate (settled past the sticks). “He’s good at football.” Takes pressure off younger WRs.
                                                                • Screens blocked up better than expected; served as run-game extensions (Chad Morris package).
                                                                • Quarterback Situation

                                                                  ~17:10–31:40

                                                                  Christopher Vazzana
                                                                  • Left with left-arm numbness; already scheduled to see a doctor on the elbow. Tried to go back in; Dabo shut it down (“you can’t play if you can’t feel one of your arms”).
                                                                  • Only ~3 drives. Nice TD throw to TJ Moore (after muff punt put them in the red zone). Ugly INT: wrong read, safety sitting there the whole time — “expect a fourth-year player not to throw that.”
                                                                  • Uncomfortable, short throws, overthrows, inaccurate even with time.
                                                                  • Led the only Clemson TD drive — and they never drove the length of the field for a TD. Started near the goal line after the muff.
                                                                  • Tate Reynolds
                                                                    • Offense operated faster; ball comes out with more zip (helps bubble screens).
                                                                    • High: 3rd-and-long dart to Tyler Brown while getting lit up. Layered throw to TJ Moore on the run.
                                                                    • Low: Zone-read misreads (pull when he should give, give when he should pull), fumble, freshman mistakes. Missed senior HS season — decision-making is raw.
                                                                    • Dabo postgame: Tate “made a move last night.”
                                                                    • Hosts: real chance Tate is QB1 going forward if Vazzana is out any length of time. Higher ceiling (athleticism, arm, throw on the run). Vazzana still the better play-to-play decision maker.
                                                                    • Warning to fans: if Tate starts, expect screaming highlights and baffling mistakes on the same drive. Growing pains. Compare to early Taj Boyd / first-year Chad Morris (2011 Troy/Wofford slog).
                                                                    • Assumption: Vazzana week-to-week, not playing vs. UNC. Emergency only.
                                                                    • Offensive Line — The Season-Long Problem

                                                                      ~31:40–42:00 (and revisited later)

Both hosts: this is the biggest issue and it will not magically get better.

                                                                      • Better than vs. LSU, still ugly vs. Georgia Southern.
                                                                      • Missed assignments, late to spots, confusion on responsibilities.
                                                                      • Some “OL looks bad” plays were actually Tate failing the zone read (end crashing, should pull).
                                                                      • Pass pro: GS ends impacting plays too often. Brayden Jacobs (LT) must be more than a run blocker — pass sets, anticipate.
                                                                      • Named whipping posts: Jacobs, Colin Sadler (worst graded run blocker; let a no-name #90 cross his face and blow up a run), Tucker Caddis (pull never arrives), Harris Sewell (non-snap that Wesco had to scoop in stride).
                                                                      • Core complaint: out-physicaled. Not just scheme. “Put on roller skates.” No edge, no intensity. Steve Addazio on ACC Network: OL with no physicality.
                                                                      • Not a complicated install: zone, inside zone, power, counter, screens, play-action. Day-one stuff. “No play call for being out-physicaled.”
                                                                      • Portal/roster blame: could have added bodies; this is the roster they have.
                                                                      • TPC prediction: OL is a glaring issue all season. Affects play-calling, QB, skill players. Defense will be on the field a lot and will start looking worse than it is because of fatigue.
                                                                      • Coordinator carousel frustration

Tony Elliott → Brandon Streeter → Garrett Riley → Chad Morris.

“Everything still looks hard. It’s the hardest it’s ever looked.” Each new OC, the offense looks more difficult.

                                                                        Big-Picture Doom (they own it)

                                                                        ~42:00–51:30

                                                                        • Defense will have moments and should be better than last year, but will be asked to do too much.
                                                                        • Scoring outlook: “Nolan’s going to score a lot.” What if they had a bad kicker? GS’s last drive could have been the go-ahead score.
                                                                        • Four-win team. Said it after LSU; nothing vs. GS changed that.
                                                                        • Bowl eligibility: “I don’t think it’s in the cards.” “Would not surprise me if this team does not make a bowl.”
                                                                        • Trend they recited:
                                                                          • 2020: 2 losses
                                                                          • 2021–22: 3
                                                                          • 2023–24: 4
                                                                          • 2025: 5
                                                                          • 2026: “probably six or more”
                                                                          • “Stop saying this is rock bottom.” Could get worse. Eight years since a real year-over-year win-total climb (2023→24 ACC/playoff noted as the exception on résumé, not quality of play).
                                                                          • “This is the same football team that played LSU, with minor improvements. They’re not good.”
                                                                          • Talent on defense shows vs. vastly inferior foes; offense “as dysfunctional as we’ve ever seen.”
                                                                          • Motto they land on: “Prepare for the worst. That’s the Clemson motto.”

                                                                            Upcoming / Context

                                                                            Scattered + ~52:00–end

                                                                            • Next: North Carolina (spread mentioned ~5.5). Then Cal, then Miami.
                                                                            • All three “can beat this team.” UNC better than last year.
                                                                            • Miami after that, then a bye — “sit on it for two weeks.” Don’t remind Miami of 58–0.
                                                                            • Charleston Southern later: they don’t think Clemson loses to FCS, but “wouldn’t bet my life on it.” Might be another FG fest.
                                                                            • Tuesday All-In Show, 8 p.m. — UNC preview + more QB news.

                                                                              • Undisciplined. Almost skipped the topic; both annoyed they forgot it earlier.
                                                                              • Chat / Color Worth Keeping

                                                                                • Heart: “Is it possible Dabo has ruined football for me? It doesn’t even look fun.” Hosts agreed — rare boredom in a game Clemson was winning. Second half a slog.
                                                                                • Tiger Ball: “Nolan Hauser for Heisman.”

TPC: Long weekend for Tiger fans, but a great five-day stretch of college football besides Saturday night.

                                                                                    • Louisville–Ole Miss: fantastic.
                                                                                    • Oregon–Boise State: expected blowout, turned into a great game.
                                                                                    • Western Michigan robbed in Ann Arbor. “I don’t care what any Michigan fan says.”
                                                                                    • FSU–SMU: entertaining for the wrong reasons (power-bill jokes during the delay, SMU turning it over four times and still winning). Delay wrecked Jordan’s Monday.
                                                                                    • Keep perspective: better to have football than not, even when Clemson gets boat-raced.

                                                                                      00:11:00 — LSU autopsy begins

Jordan: Burn-the-tape game. One good drive all night — against the LSU student section.

                                                                                      Defense

                                                                                      Jordan (rewatch):

                                                                                      • Pass defense mostly fine. LSU didn’t hit many true shots until garbage time / backup QB. Levitt’s production was schemed easy access, not vertical explosives. Deepest real throw was a coverage-bust crosser.
                                                                                      • Corners: Elliot Washington multiple PBUs; Ashton Hampton PBU + INT.
                                                                                      • Biggest secondary gripe: missed tackles.
                                                                                      • Front: disaster. Couldn’t set the edge. DTs soft. Dominated and pushed around by LSU’s OL. Stretch runs killed them (reminded them of 2024). Second-level guys didn’t fill.
                                                                                      • Named DTs: Andy Berberese, Marcus Strong (okay at times), Amari Adams. Strong likely done for the year — another hit to an already thin DT room.
                                                                                      • Rotational guys (DeVar Woods, Champ Thompson) not good.
                                                                                      • PFF: worst-graded defenders who played a lot of snaps were the DTs.
                                                                                      • TPC:

                                                                                        • LSU: 644 total yards, 38 first downs (school record), 41-point destruction.
                                                                                        • Two-hour weather delay; LSU still locked in. Not distracted by NFL/portal noise.
                                                                                        • Clemson INT early → offense three-and-out → 3-0 → LSU 31 unanswered in the first half.
                                                                                        • Biggest beatdown of the Dabo era. Worse than 2013 FSU, worse than WVU hanging 70. Not hyperbolic.
                                                                                        • Looked like an FCS team. LSU would have done similar things to an FCS opener.
                                                                                        • Figured out early: run up the middle, then bounce it when ends/LBs couldn’t set the edge. Levitt 100+ rush yards. Didn’t need to be efficient as a passer.
                                                                                        • Clemson: one first down in the first half.
                                                                                        • 00:19:00–00:45:00 — Coaching, culture, Dabo, OL

                                                                                          TPC core thesis:

                                                                                          • This was not “got beat by a more talented team” (Georgia in recent years). This was a poorly coached, ill-prepared team that didn’t belong on the field.
                                                                                          • Roster-building model is gone in the NIL/portal era. Cat’s out of the bag whether they like modern CFB or not.
                                                                                          • OL “absolutely terrible.” Missing assignments, free-releasing LBs, pulling and not getting there. Looked like they didn’t practice. “Where are you at, Matt Luke?” These are largely his guys.
                                                                                          • Staff said “this is not what we expected.” Then there is an evaluation problem.
                                                                                          • Coordinators and support staff have already been fired. Common denominator is Dabo. Running out of people to blame.
                                                                                          • Dabo has to change for modern CFB or Clemson keeps sliding into irrelevance — already not competing for titles, playoffs, or even ACC titles.
                                                                                          • Team that played Saturday is a four-win team, maybe. Might not be a bowl team. Georgia Southern might beat them. Don’t lay the points.
                                                                                          • Jordan:

                                                                                            • Gideon Davidson (RB1, making just under $1M) at media day: wasn’t locked in, on social media too much. “Batman couldn’t have gotten that out of me.” Honest but shocking to say out loud.
                                                                                            • Outside Sammy Brown, hard to tell if anyone cares. Pride in the paw / helmet doesn’t look the same.
                                                                                            • Not just portal guys or money. Culture of last 3–5 years fostered complacency: mess up and your spot isn’t really in danger.
                                                                                            • Old Clemson teams took losses personally because the head coach hated losing and instilled it. Even at worst moments there was pride and a response (2013 FSU, SCAR).
                                                                                            • They were trying Saturday — which makes it worse. They’re that far away.
                                                                                            • “LARPing as a football team.” Cosplaying. If they play like that vs Georgia Southern it will look like Troy last year, or worse, and Southern will win.
                                                                                            • ~00:45–01:07 — Georgia Southern preview / injuries / QB

(Transcript midsection covers GS as a comparable-to-Troy Group of 5 team that will smell blood; Clay Helton / “fighting Clay Heltons.”)

                                                                                              Keys Jordan/TPC land on:

                                                                                              • OL first. All eyes on that group. If they play like vs LSU, GS gets pressure and makes it uncomfortable.
                                                                                              • Set the edge / run defense. Front seven has to dominate an FCS-level (they treat GS like that level of opponent) line of scrimmage. Marked improvement from DT room and edge setters (ends or LBs depending on call).
                                                                                              • Corners played well enough vs LSU that if the front is right, they should limit GS.
                                                                                              • If they can’t do the things they failed at vs LSU against GS, “who can you do it against?” Big questions about the season / Tom Allen defense.
                                                                                              • QBs: Don’t have to leave Saturday with it fully settled, but both Chris Vizzina and the other guy need to look competent as facilitators / point guards in Chad Morris’s system. Hard to evaluate either from LSU because the OL and dysfunction gave them no chance. Saturday is the real look.
                                                                                              • Morris system shouldn’t require an overly talented QB — just operate within the offense, hit what’s there.
                                                                                              • GS DB Aaron Sears said they were smiling in the film room at what they saw on tape.
                                                                                              • Jordan: comparable to the Troy team that led Clemson at half last year; this Clemson team is at a worse starting point than last year’s.

                                                                                                01:16:00 — Score predictions
                                                                                                • Jordan: Clemson 35–17. They play better (hard to play worse), enough offense that it’s not a heart attack, still show warts. GS some run success. Won’t cover. Iffy heading into North Carolina.
                                                                                                • TPC: Clemson 31–17. Would be shocked if they lose, as shocked as you can be after Saturday. Not comfortable. A couple of bounces and you’re sweating. Don’t completely dismiss the upset.
                                                                                                • Both: do not lay 24 (or 22.5). GS + is getting public/AI love.

                                                                                                  01:21:00 — Chat / Q&A highlights
                                                                                                  • Nick: AI’s top bets included GS +22.5. Someone had GS over Clemson as a preseason upset pick.
                                                                                                  • Michael: Irony of “All In” motto vs Dabo not being all-in on NIL/portal. Jordan: one toe in; invested more than ever out of necessity, still felt like bare minimum.
                                                                                                  • Jay: maybe join the Sun Belt.
                                                                                                  • Joe: making the turn on Dabo; change coming, good for both sides. Hosts: real conversation now. New president, donors, Graham Neff doesn’t survive football collapsing.
                                                                                                  • Nathan Oliver: Can Clemson afford to fire Dabo? Hosts: they could pull the trigger; buyout is cheapest this year vs paying the rest after next year. Contracts are weird.
                                                                                                  • CJ (to Jordan after rewatch): Were players put in good positions in the run game? Hell no on both sides, especially run. Didn’t even attempt to run much. Misdirection/screens. Looked like Garrett Riley ball. Viral Braden Jacobs 3rd-and-6 one of many “guys not where they’re supposed to be / don’t know the play” snaps. Play-calling and preparation failed.
                                                                                                  • Wet Sox: Dabo vs Chappell Fowler. Hosts fully back Chappell. Did his job; asked what fans wanted after a 41-point TV beating. Dabo’s “one game, ask me at the end of the year” core answer would have been fine. Instead took personal offense, “did you play football?” Irrelevant. Earned the questions.
                                                                                                  • Justin: What is a successful season? 8 wins / QB development / only offseason change? Hosts had them 9–3 preseason as a win. Team they saw Saturday is not winning 9, 8, or honestly 7. Bowl game from this starting point would be an act of God. Four-win team if it doesn’t flip. Lose at Cal, maybe UNC, definitely Miami, etc.
                                                                                                  • Chad Morris hire: worst possible audition. Last time at Clemson (2011) also started slow, but not vs LSU. Softened on the hire in camp; Saturday showed every fear. Allowed to get better — 11 games left — but first test was a resounding failure. 45 plays, 8 first downs, fewest of the Dabo era.
                                                                                                  • GM question: They already have one functionally (Jordan Sorrells) plus a director of player personnel. Dabo still has final roster say. Empowerment may be the issue, not the GM’s existence.
                                                                                                  • TPC half-joking: if they lose to GS they might not stream another Clemson game (walks it back for members). Fire-and-brimstone next week if it happens.

                                                                                                    01:44:00 — Close

                                                                                                      • Final: Clemson 10, LSU 51. “It wasn’t that close. Easily could have been worse.”
                                                                                                      • Hosts both picked a Clemson loss (one had it as a two-score game). Still expected better than a “thorough and complete dismantling” unlike anything under Dabo.
                                                                                                      • Totals they hammer: LSU 644 yards, Clemson 145. Large chunk of Clemson’s 145 came on the last drive vs LSU’s late-game leftovers. Eze TD in garbage time.
                                                                                                      • 3:00–7:00 — How the game actually started vs how it ended

                                                                                                        • After that: “all downhill.” Lines of scrimmage “completely outmatched” on both sides.
                                                                                                        • OL take (repeated all night): “This might be the worst offensive line we’ve ever had.” Can’t run block, can’t pass block, slow on pulls, free rushers immediately on both QBs (Chris Vazina / Tate Reynolds).
                                                                                                        • “LSU was just playing with you… predator playing with their food.”
                                                                                                        • Prediction: this will not be Clemson’s only loss or only blowout.

                                                                                                          • Kiffin at half / after: mock-game comments, “imagine if we were playing the pro players.” Felt like a high-school movie swirly.
                                                                                                          • Burn-the-tape game. No reason to rewatch for learning.
                                                                                                          • “My, my, my, how the mighty have fallen.” Used to walk into primetime (Reese Davis / Herbstreit) expecting a fight. Not this Clemson.
                                                                                                          • Four straight season-opener beatdowns: Duke, Georgia, LSU last year, LSU this year.
                                                                                                          • LSU could have hung 70–80; they throttled down and put in backups.
                                                                                                          • 12:00–18:30 — Opener scoring drought + portal/QB decisions
                                                                                                            • Stat they previewed pre-show: 3 offensive TDs in last 4 season openers.
                                                                                                            • Duke ’23: 1 OTD. Georgia ’24: 3 points. LSU ’25: 1 OTD. Tonight: 1 OTD.
                                                                                                              ~7 points per opener.
                                                                                                            • Common denominator: the guy in charge. Stood pat on offense (one transfer RB, non-factor). Did not add portal QB experience to raise the floor even if Vazina/Reynolds won the job.
                                                                                                            • Chad Morris familiarity with Dabo was the hope after Riley “spoke a different language.” Result: 145 total yards; 74 yards if you strip the garbage-time TD drive.
                                                                                                            • “Louisiana Tech will have more yards than Clemson did tonight.” Looked like Georgia–Tennessee State / VT–VMI.
                                                                                                            • 18:30–21:00 — Sponsor break + “nobodies”
                                                                                                              • Pit Boss Grills Labor Day partnership (pitbossgrills.com, sale through ~Sept 10).
                                                                                                              • Dabo preseason: “we’re a bunch of nobodies.” Team proved it.
                                                                                                              • Not asking for 2015–19 Clemson. Asking to look like they belong. They belonged for maybe three minutes.
                                                                                                              • 21:00–27:00 — This is what they are; Dabo conversation tabled
                                                                                                                • “This team sucks. Your coach sucks.” Current Dabo coaching/managing the worst football of his career. Past titles not discounted.
                                                                                                                • Will not do the “should they fire Dabo?” show tonight. Tired of it; administration won’t show him the door. Two paths: same process + same results, or a real shift in prep, talent acquisition, investment.
                                                                                                                • Flush it. Next up: Georgia Southern. Don’t get comfortable after what the lines looked like.
                                                                                                                • 27:00–31:30 — Scheme + QBs get a pass
                                                                                                                  • Chad Morris offense is run-first. No run + no pass protection = dead in the water. LSU had free rushers, missed assignments, slow pulls, whiffs.
                                                                                                                  • Nothing learned on QBs. Neither looked ready; neither had a chance. Not transcendent talent that can save a game. Playmakers never got the ball clean.
                                                                                                                  • Tried QB run, reverses, sweeps — nothing worked.
                                                                                                                  • Colin Sadler scratch = least surprising thing (availability).
                                                                                                                  • 31:30–39:00 — Matt Luke / OL names
                                                                                                                    • Third year for Luke. Room is largely his recruits. Recruiting praised; on-field product not there.
                                                                                                                    • Elijah Thurman “awful.” Brayden Jacobs a step slow every snap (still believe in him long-term; one game isn’t the résumé). Ronan O’Connell didn’t look like the nasty finisher from late last year — late/missed on pulls.
                                                                                                                    • High snaps at center all night. Didn’t become disasters only because the game was already over.
                                                                                                                    • “OL owes every skill player and both QBs an apology.” Effort look questioned; talent gap also real.
                                                                                                                    • Missing assignments ≠ losing a one-on-one. Preparation issue.
                                                                                                                    • ~39:00–52:00 — Defense (on field forever)
                                                                                                                      • Defense on the field a ton because they couldn’t get off it either. LSU ~60% on third down.
                                                                                                                      • Safeties out of position. Corey Myrick flashed in run support (physical corner profile). Corners “did their job” more than last year’s pass-defense disaster.
                                                                                                                      • Pass defense improved vs last year: Levitt not wildly efficient through the air; explosives often RAC / underneath. One busted coverage from miscommunication.
                                                                                                                      • DL help they added did not look impressive. Needed more after Woods/Capehart to NFL, Green portal, Brown-Schuller cancer. LSU OL not even that decorated as a unit and still looked better.
                                                                                                                      • Tempo: should not have surprised anyone who watched Kiffin at Ole Miss. Same concepts, different formations/personnel, never got LSU off script. “One of the easiest games Lane Kiffin has ever called.”
                                                                                                                      • 52:00–59:00 — Slim positives + how you go forward
                                                                                                                        • Nolan Hauser hit his only FG. A couple decent punts, no back-breaking special-teams disaster.
                                                                                                                        • One first down in the first half.
                                                                                                                        • Worst point-differential loss of Dabo’s tenure (worse than old Orange Bowl blowout, and that was end of year / years ago). This is Week 1.
                                                                                                                        • Message: flush it, take assignment/matchup notes, don’t dwell. Still 11 games. Get rhythm vs Georgia Southern with Morris. Embarrassment doesn’t change the rest of the schedule by itself — how they play does.
                                                                                                                        • 59:00–1:06:00 — Super chat (Koozie $5) + coordinator carousel
                                                                                                                          • Chat: “It’s a Dabo problem, not coordinator/position coach.” Hosts: they’ve run this movie since 2020 — Elliott, Streeter, Riley, Wes Goodwin → Tom Allen (worst modern Clemson pass D last year). Common denominator is the head coach.
                                                                                                                          • Offseason did change some things (portal on defense, investments). Still 41-point hole in Week 1. “We’ve exhausted our excuses.”
                                                                                                                          • 1:06:00–end — Chat, trolls, schedule fear, sign-off
                                                                                                                            • Labor Day / 2:20–3 a.m. ET, both hosts in NC.
                                                                                                                            • LSU trolls welcomed; one chat user spam-posting “poop” roasted separately.
                                                                                                                            • “Dead program” comment: they won’t call it dead, but agree a failing program is one that brings in talent/coaches and makes them worse (Luke, Allen, Riley, etc.; players who flash as freshmen then stall; transfers who look better elsewhere — Makuba at Texas cited).
                                                                                                                            • Sammy Brown’s last year framed as wasted high-end talent after the Georgia recruiting battle.
                                                                                                                            • Schedule: not “only Miami to worry about.” If they play like this, Georgia Tech / Syracuse / Cal / even UNC are live. Last year they said the same after the LSU opener and then lost winnable games.
                                                                                                                            • Chris Denson at QB: no. Reynolds already is the athlete. Denson as WR with the ball in his hands: yes. Juju Preston got snaps; everyone did in the second half.
                                                                                                                            • Death Valley debate with LSU chat: Clemson was first; score doesn’t rewrite history.
                                                                                                                            • Close: Tuesday ~8 p.m. All-In Show for film + Georgia Southern preview. “Go Clemson Tigers” (specified spelling vs LSU “Geaux”).

Not a surprise — better fall camp. Tate Reynolds was competitive; tape will decide the job long-term.

                                                                                                                                TPC on the program

                                                                                                                                • Defense longer/faster via portal. High on Ashton Hampton debut vs. LSU’s WR room.
                                                                                                                                • Week 1 in Death Valley Jr. is the season’s biggest test / gauge. LSU: 40+ transfers, Lane Kiffin offense, ultra-talented roster. Clemson secondary gets thrown in the deep end immediately.
                                                                                                                                • Question isn’t just W/L — it’s how they look. Close and competitive vs. getting steamrolled.
                                                                                                                                • Jordan’s posture (don’t overreact)

                                                                                                                                  • Won’t crown or bury the team after one game, even if Baton Rouge gets ugly.
                                                                                                                                  • Holes/question marks have to all hit at once to win on the road. That’s a lot to ask of new faces.
                                                                                                                                  • Likes the group. Can still win the ACC after a loss. Opener is a goal, but not a season-killer.
                                                                                                                                  • LSU has questions too; he’s not crowning them.
                                                                                                                                  • Vazina vs. Reynolds

                                                                                                                                    • Dabo leans veteran in hostile openers (Georgia freshman WR precedent).
                                                                                                                                    • Vazina: years in the program, better camp, calmer profile for a loud road start.
                                                                                                                                    • Both expect Tate Reynolds to play — Dabo said it’s a likelihood. Not a Will Wilson / NC State “QB draw package then sit” role; staff thinks he can run the full offense.
                                                                                                                                    • Reynolds: more erratic, true-freshman decision-making at times, but has learned the offense faster than expected.
                                                                                                                                    • Historical parallel: first Morris era + Taj Boyd vs. Troy — ugly early. Vazina is older than Taj was.
                                                                                                                                    • Plan: quick game, get the ball out, establish the run, survive crowd noise / false starts.
                                                                                                                                    • Jordan: Vazina is an easy root — stuck behind a veteran, never jumped ship, excellent in pressers. A strong year helps Tate’s development and the program.
                                                                                                                                    • Audio plug: Clemson Football Live on Apple/Spotify/Amazon. Don’t take your phone in the shower.

                                                                                                                                      • Vic Burley — both say he does not play. No sign the suspension is lifted. Dabo listed top DTs and omitted him. Internal discipline; Dabo doesn’t lift it because it’s a big game. TPC: maybe Week 3–4; likely not on the travel squad.
                                                                                                                                      • Cole Turner — still not with the team.

                                                                                                                                      • Jordan has heard other injury rumblings but won’t put them on air. Preview assumes everyone else is available.

First Kiffin season = statement game after the Brian Kelly divorce (“Notre Dame fans told you”).
                                                                                                                                        • Top-10 on paper. Not a finished product: Sam Leavitt coming off a down/injured year after Heisman/first-round talk; new pieces at WR, OL, QB.
                                                                                                                                        • Outside noise (SEC/NFL court stuff) + brand-new staff/roster = possible gelling issues Week 1.
                                                                                                                                        • TPC: still one of the most talented rosters in the country. Growing pains possible, or they put CFB on notice immediately.
                                                                                                                                        • Don’t sleep on Clemson

                                                                                                                                          • National “steamroll” narrative is overcooked. TPC does not expect a double-digit LSU win.
                                                                                                                                          • FanDuel: LSU –10.5. Jordan: line is more program perception than real data — both teams are new.

                                                                                                                                            • Dennis Love S&C hire matters — no more “I didn’t feel in shape” (Barrett Carter / Duke 2023 energy). Have to run with this offense.
                                                                                                                                            • Sam Leavitt

                                                                                                                                              • If he’s comfortable, Clemson doesn’t win. Front four must get home; Tom Allen will blitz a lot anyway. Secondary is better (Hampton, Elliot Washington, Corey Gibson) but cannot cover 4–5 seconds.
                                                                                                                                              • ~0:40:00–1:02:00 | Clemson defense vs. LSU

                                                                                                                                                • Limit the run, make LSU one-dimensional.
                                                                                                                                                • Rebuilt secondary gets tested early and often. Hampton must be lights-out Week 1.
                                                                                                                                                • Safeties: Corey Myrick, Jerome Carter. Hurts not having Polo Anderson as a third.
                                                                                                                                                • DT rotation without Burley is the biggest question. Need three-man interior rotation; Burley would have been the fourth. Concerns the room isn’t where they wanted it for Week 1 vs. this OL/run game.
                                                                                                                                                • Year 2 Tom Allen: everybody in the run fits. Cohesive unit or it leaks.
                                                                                                                                                • TPC: if Clemson holds LSU to ~20 or less, DT room + secondary have to “come through in a big way.”

~1:02:00–1:25:00 | Clemson offense vs. LSU defense

                                                                                                                                                  • Vazina: start vs. SMU last year, never an environment like Saturday night. “Unhinged / can’t hear yourself think.”
                                                                                                                                                  • How Morris can help Vazina

                                                                                                                                                    • Early easy completions: quick game, swings, screens.
                                                                                                                                                    • Get him on the perimeter / hit early to settle him.
                                                                                                                                                    • Establish the run; stay ahead of the chains.
                                                                                                                                                    • Extra blockers / 12 personnel (Morris loves it). Don’t assume they can run 11-personnel vs. this DL.
                                                                                                                                                    • Play-action shots when LSU bites. Force LSU to defend the whole field (jet, screens, not just dropbacks).
                                                                                                                                                    • Slow the game if needed — fewer possessions = more variance for a road underdog. Jordan does not want a track meet given OL questions.
                                                                                                                                                    • OL / LSU DL

                                                                                                                                                      • Must win the point of attack. If they can’t, they don’t win.
                                                                                                                                                      • LSU more talented on paper. Little things and LOS decide it.
                                                                                                                                                      • Taj Boyd in the building is a plus for Vazina/Reynolds/Brock Bradley navigating Morris’s evolved scheme (Virginia influence noted via Dustin Black / Inside the Valley).
                                                                                                                                                      • Skill names in the conversation: TJ Moore, Bryant Wesco, Chris Johnson Jr., Juju Preston. Cole Turner out.

                                                                                                                                                        • Return options: Chris Johnson Jr., Juju Preston. Do not put Bryant Wesco or TJ Moore back there — TPC is “vehemently opposed” to star playmakers on kick/punt return (injury risk).
                                                                                                                                                        • Nolan has to convert his chances; missed kicks would be loud in this environment.
                                                                                                                                                        • Last Clemson kick/punt-return TD: Amari Rodgers, 2018 (~eight years).

Get the ball to playmakers even if Vazina doesn’t throw 35 times.
                                                                                                                                                            • D: make Leavitt uncomfortable. Don’t let LSU’s best players beat you. Win interior run fits so it’s not 2nd-and-5 all night. DBs have to win 1-on-1s.

                                                                                                                                                                    • Competitive-integrity concerns: pros with NFL training competing against true college athletes; negative impact on high-school recruiting opportunities.
                                                                                                                                                                    • SEC (Greg Sankey) issued a formal statement opposing players who signed professional contracts. ACC reportedly discussing similar rules.
                                                                                                                                                                    • Hosts view this as a potential point of no return if any of these players take the field. Prefer conferences hold the line rather than let courts and friendly judges dictate roster construction.
                                                                                                                                                                    • Consensus: “You made your decision… college football cannot allow this.”
                                                                                                                                                                    • Vic Burley Arrest & Defensive Tackle Depth (00:33–approx. 00:42)
                                                                                                                                                                      • Fourth-year DT Vic Burley (highly recruited 2023 class peer of Peter Woods, T.J. Parker, etc.) arrested early Saturday by Clemson University Police for public disorderly conduct.
                                                                                                                                                                      • Found sleeping in his running vehicle on campus ~2:15 a.m.; vape with certain substance and odor of alcohol noted. Not charged with DUI (he was not driving).
                                                                                                                                                                      • Dabo Swinney: suspended indefinitely. Staff “extremely disappointed.”
                                                                                                                                                                      • Context: DT room already thin after injuries, departures, and prior losses. Burley had shown flashes in recent scrimmage; this was supposed to be his breakout year.
                                                                                                                                                                      • Hosts: disappointing timing (days before season), but charge itself is relatively minor. Long-term career impact likely limited if he completes required steps to return. Depth remains a real concern.
                                                                                                                                                                      • Schedule Preview & Record Prediction (main segment)

                                                                                                                                                                        Ceiling / Floor

                                                                                                                                                                        • Floor: 6-6 (if QB play fails, DT depth collapses, O-line continues musical chairs).
                                                                                                                                                                        • Realistic ceiling: 10-2 or 11-1 (if Chad Morris offense clicks, QB stabilizes, defense improves, and they stay healthy). Talent edge on paper over every team except LSU and Miami.
                                                                                                                                                                        • Key Game Notes & Reasoning (high-level)

                                                                                                                                                                          • LSU (Week 1, neutral?): Toughest early test. New staff/roster under Kiffin; unknowns favor a possible sneak win more than Miami later, but hosts still lean LSU win for the Tigers’ loss column.
                                                                                                                                                                          • Miami: More complete roster questions solved; harder to steal.
                                                                                                                                                                          • Florida State: Third projected loss.
                                                                                                                                                                          • South Carolina (home, rivalry finale): Hosts pick Clemson to finally win at Death Valley again. Sellers must be contained; Gamecocks’ O-line and run game remain question marks. Clemson has dominated on the road in recent years but dropped frustrating home games.
                                                                                                                                                                          • Other ACC games (Cal short-week travel, Duke, Georgia Tech, Syracuse, etc.): Not automatic. Hosts emphasize Clemson no longer gets the benefit of the doubt; several are “very losable.”
                                                                                                                                                                          • Non-conference cupcakes (Charleston Southern, Georgia Southern): Expected wins.
                                                                                                                                                                          • Hosts stress predictions are preseason only and will be re-evaluated once games are played. Fans encouraged to drop their own records + specific losses in the comments.

                                                                                                                                                                            • Fifth-year guard Dylan Hunter returning is a net positive. Experience and leadership in a talented guard room (Ace Buckner, Zach Foster recovering from ACL, Harris Reynolds, transfers).
                                                                                                                                                                            • Better supporting scoring cast should let him operate as facilitator/defender rather than primary scorer. Strong system knowledge and “glue” factor for Brad Brownell’s group.
