“The State of Colorado Will Compensate Local Residents To Go Solar as Part of a Statewide Program (RPS).”
That was the headline to a short advertorial I recently read online. And I have a long history with Colorado, starting at birth, so it piqued my curiosity, of course.
No, they’re not looking to get you to consider solar. Uh-uh. It’s a mandate (which is not two guys going to dinner). Here’s what “they” (the state of Colorado) said about it.
The Renewable Portfolio Standard (RPS) is a regulatory mandate to increase the production of energy from renewable sources like solar throughout the state of Colorado. This new, statewide renewable electricity standard is given to every state as a goal to have a percentage of its power come from renewable energies like wind and solar.”
Funny (odd, not ha-ha) how they never include oil when they talk about renewable energies. But, as I’ve shared right here on the The TRUTH, oil IS, and always has been, a renewable energy. And as bad as the mandate sounds, there’s something even more sinister at work in this so-called “initiative.”
For example, here’s more about their “goal” from that advertorial:
“With the goal of being 30% solar dependent by 2030, the state of Colorado has introduced big incentives and is pushing all local utility companies to compensate their customers to switch to solar through Energy Buy Back programs like Net Metering.
These new, state-wide solar incentives help Colorado homeowners take advantage of all federal, state, and local solar programs and rebates, and can completely eliminate their power bills with $0 upfront costs.”
Your first thought should be, “Hmm, where did the state get the money to introduce “big incentives?” And, your lightning-fast reply to yourself should be, “TAXES!” Because “free” is only a concept. Nothing is EVER free.
And any government that increases taxes on hard-working people in order to give “big incentives” to other people, is a tyrannical government.
Jesus wasn’t particularly fond of tax collectors. And He said a tax rate of 10% is tyrannical. I hope you don’t believe, even for a second, that your tax rate is 10%. Because it’s at least five times that much.
If you believe the government has your best interest at heart when they say “go solar,” then you’ve accepted their matrix. And I fear for your eternal soul. It might be in jeopardy of everlasting confusion and torment.
Because unjust taxation is stealing.
That’s all I’ll say on it for now. While you wait for my next sound-off, jump on the The TRUTH. And be part of the growing band of believers who know life has Rhyme and Reason because God is Real.

You can’t recycle away stupid. And today I’m gonna share a story you might’ve seen elsewhere. But it bears repeating. Because it shows the increased ignorance in younger people today. And it shows how, typically, the people who shout “don’t judge” the loudest are the most judgmental.
A young cashier told an older woman that she should bring her grocery bags because plastic bags weren’t good for the environment.
The woman apologized to him, “We didn’t have this green thing back in my day.”
The young clerk said, “Your generation didn’t care enough to save our environment for future generations.”
So, the woman gave him a firm stare and a hard grin and said, “Back then, we returned milk bottles, soda bottles, and beer bottles. And the store sent them back to the plant to be washed sterilized and refilled. That way they could use the same bottles over. Then, they were recycled.
Grocery stores bagged our groceries in brown paper bags. And we reused them for numerous things. We walked upstairs because we didn’t have an escalator in every store and office building. And we walked to the grocery store. Plus, we didn’t climb into a 300-horsepower machine every time we had to go two blocks.
Back then, we washed the baby’s diapers. Because we didn’t have the throwaway kind. We dried clothes on a line in the sunshine. Not in an energy-gobbling machine burning up 220 volts. So, wind and solar power did dry our clothes back in our day. Kids got hand-me-down clothes from their brothers or sisters. Not always brand-new clothing.
Not a TV in every room. By the way, the TV had a small screen the size of a handkerchief. And not a screen the size of the state of Montana. In the kitchen, we blended and stirred by hand. Because we didn’t have electric machines to do everything for us.
When we packaged a fragile item to send in the mail, we used wadded-up old newspapers to cushion it. And not styrofoam or plastic bubble wrap.
Back then, we didn’t fire up an engine and burn gasoline just to cut the lawn. We used a push mower that ran on human power. And we exercised by working. So, we didn’t need to go to a health club to run on treadmills that operate on electricity.
We drank from a fountain when we were thirsty instead of using a cup or a plastic bottle every time we had a drink of water. And we refilled writing pens with ink instead of buying a new pen. We also replaced the razor blades with a razor instead of throwing away the whole razor just because the blade got dull.
And kids rode their bikes instead of turning their moms into a 24-hour taxi service. Usually, we had one electrical outlet in a room. Not an entire bank of sockets to power a dozen appliances. And we didn’t need a computerized gadget to receive a signal beamed from satellites 23,000 miles in space to find the nearest burger joint.
But the current generation laments how wasteful we old folks were just because we didn’t have “the green thing.”
The cashier stood there still and quiet as the old lady found her wallet to pay. Then lady turned to leave but stepped back and turned toward the cashier. She said “You have a world of knowledge in that little device in your hand. Pity you just use it to gossip, take pictures, and waste time. It would do you good to search a bit of history before you embarrass yourself like this again.
I think that’s a slam-dunk. How about you? Did your family recycle away. Or were you part of the use-it-up-and-get-a-new-one group? In my parents’ and grandparents’ house, it was pretty much as the older woman described.
By the way, I’m gonna recycle away my recommendation that you head to this link to subscribe to Tony’s Rhyme and Reason Daily Devotional. Make me send you some complimentary (and downright hospitable) stuff.

I can predict people will still be living on Earth a thousand years from now. And that prediction includes their ability to drink water, eat real food, and breathe fresh air. Yep, that’s right. I can predict the future.
No, I’m not a prediction savant. And I don’t play one on YouTube. So, just because I can predict the future with confidence still doesn’t mean I think I know it all (and I knew that’s what you were thinking about me just now).
Yeah, I’m what you might call a prognosticating magician. Oh yeah, you know it’s true. Given enough time that’s what you’d call me. At least once you discover some of my secrets of diversion.
Anyway…
Someone, long before me, shared some predictions about how long this planet could last. And, when you consider how accurate that source has been time after time after time, there’s no point in doubting the accuracy of any “future talk.”
So, I’ve shared what I’ve shared, up to this point, to point out how outrageous the end-of-civilization claims are. And in recent years, as they’ve attempted to predict a dystopian future, those claims have gotten increasingly stupid. And they reveal who the control freaks are. Good news is, they’re just clanging brass clowns and provisional, passing puppets. And, in the long run (eternity), their message will vaporize.
But they DO get to have their 15 minutes of fame right now. So, as they slither through their slogan-filled sleepwalk, we can focus on things that are pure and praiseworthy. Because…

Fires burn down beautiful places. Volcanoes erupt and destroy communities. Hurricanes blast entire cities. Tornadoes uproot even the heartiest of trees. Mudslides annihilate peaceful homes that were minding their own business. And through it all the Earth remains.
And it’ll remain through this coming cold winter.
So, you can fear what might happen, if you wanna. But I’m just not gonna join you in that whole fear thing. For one, it’s totally counter-productive. And, oh yeah, God says “fear not.” And “worry not.”
A few years ago I shared this about that:
Fact is…when you believe and trust in God, He gives you a spirit of power. And love. And a sound mind. That’s a mind based on reason, sense, or judgment. Full of competence and security. When you feel the opposite of that description, you’ve moved away from, or you’ve forgotten what God says about you.
But that doesn’t mean you’re doomed. If it did, you and I and everybody else would be doomed. Don’t throw your hands up in despair or frustration. Instead, turn around and ask God for more wisdom. He loves to give it to those who love Him.
And remember His promise about this planet we call home. “While the earth remains, Seedtime and harvest, Cold and heat, Winter and summer, And day and night Shall not cease.” Only the fool complains about it.
Don’t drink the wine of violence
Don’t push and shove the simple.

Get wise to the deceiver.
Don’t walk, you, with the wicked.

Well, it’s all over but the whinin’. Yeah, for all intents and purposes, July is done. And is it just me, or does it seem like there were more than a couple of hot days this month? Yeah, probably just me.
Uh-huh. August, with its brisk, sweater weather days and frost-biting nights. Oh wait. Darn grammar checker. That was supposed to be brisk, Lipton tea, sweatier days and A/C testing nights.
Anyway…
Point is, there are plenty more hot days where these recent ones came from. (“Teacher, Tony ended a sentence with a preposition!” – “Quiet, Judy! Nobody likes a tattletail.”)
Sorry, just had a flashback to my days as Theodore Cleaver. No, wait. That was Jerry Mathers. Well, if I’m not him, then who am I? Wow, apparently July is NOT done with its heat damage. My brain is playing tricks on me. And I’m sitting in my office, in the cool comfort of A/C protection.
So, the damage must’ve occurred when I hauled 2000 bales of hay yesterday. No, wait. That was way back when I was a teenager during my summer days in the hay fields of Kansas. Wow, this is getting ridiculous.
I should probably see Dr. Clooney, uh, I mean Dr. Ross to find out if there’s something I can do about all this brain fog and heat exhaustion confusion. Wait a second. Dr. Ross is actually a fictional doctor played by Doctor, uh, George Clooney. Oh no!
Just kidding.
Really had you going there. Didn’t I?
What’s all this silliness got to do with anything? Well, it’s got everything to do with nothing. Because everything I’ve shared so far makes about as much sense as the constant blabbermouth nonsense passing itself off as climate change science.
And those who love to shout it from the rooftops, bully pulpits, and airwaves, love to use an especially hot summer to, as they they think, emphasize their point. But they actually manipulate facts to articulate fiction. And I’m not a climate denier. That’s a descriptive non sequitur. Of course, climate changes. Every year.
I’ve seen it with my own eyes for over 6 decades. Some hotter than others.
But don’t take my word for it. After all, I’m a Christian who might have “an agenda.” Let’s take a look at what an atheist, a guy who won the Nobel Prize in physics for 2022, said about it:
Dr. John Clauser is quoted as saying, the climate emergency “narrative” is “a dangerous corruption of science that threatens the world’s economy and the well-being of billions of people.”
NOT!
Dr. Clauser was supposed to give a talk at the International Monetary Fund, on climate change models. But his talk was cancelled. Other talks have been cancelled as well. Probably just a coincidence.
The good doctor (who needs to get right with the only actual good person there is) also argues that carbon dioxide emissions are beneficial to life on Earth. And he believes so-called “climate science” has “metastasized into massive shock-journalistic pseudoscience.” Whoa, pardner. Them there’s fightin’ words. But Dr. Clauser doesn’t stop there. He says “business marketing agents, politicians, journalists, government agencies, and environmentalists” are in on the pseudoscience.
He made it easy to interpret his meaning by saying, “In my opinion, there is no real climate crisis.”
Now, I’m not saying that Dr. Clauser is the world’s leading authority on climate or weather. But I figured he’s a good source to share so I can show you this isn’t just a “Christian perspective.”
You can easily see the silliness when you watch the “marketing agents” on social media, TV, and in movies, commercials, and political circles through the years. For example, Mr. Spock (Leonard Nimoy) told us, that perhaps in “our kids’ and grandkids’ lives” the planet could become an uninhabitable frozen wasteland.

I’ve talked about the Holland–Dozier–Holland songwriting and producing team before when I shared some info about The Supremes and their hit song, “I Hear A Symphony.” And they had another hit, 60 years ago this month, with the song, “Heat Wave,” performed by Martha and the Vandellas. Martha’s version was a number 1 hit. Then, Linda Rondstat had a number 5 hit with the same song 12 years later. Even Phil Collins had a hit with it.
Some critics might say it’s “infectious.” Reviews might call it a “danceable rock-a-twister.” But the main thing is, it’s an upbeat dance song about some of the effects of love.
But here we are 60 years later. And now a heat wave is an ominous and potentially world-changing (maybe even world-ending) event.
Sometimes I open my digital tablet and then open the “News” app. I don’t do it ALL the time. Because the basic news, weather, and sports are so predictable and mostly non-believable. But today I saw a headline that read: “Heat Wave Spanning From Florida To California Prompts Urgent Warnings.”
In case you didn’t already know this Florida is on the Eastern edge of America. And California is all the way on the opposite, Western, edge of America. So, right away, (if that info is familiar to you) you understand this truly IS an urgent matter. Because we’re talking about our entire country here.
And it follows up the headline with plenty of information to get your antennae up and your heart racing. The opening sentence says: “An expanding, intensifying heat wave prompted the National Weather Service to issue heat alerts for 115 million people on Friday in 15 states, with no letup in sight for some areas.”
Oh no!
115 million people! That’s a third of all the citizens in America. And the point is, it’s HOT! With no “letup in sight.” (uh, hang on, there’s still gonna be a September, October, etc. this year) But let’s not muddy the fear waters with actual provable facts. Because we’ve got a populace to control. And fear is the best tool for that.
So, let’s talk about the “public health dangers.” And the “scope, intensity, and endurance” of this hot weather. Plus, we need to get the “alerts” about where the “longest-lasting impacts” of this “heat dome” will occur.
But maybe I’m not being fair.
Maybe the weather services just have our best interests at heart.
So, maybe they just want you to have all the facts so you can make good decisions while your brain is frying. And maybe that’s why they say things like: “Heat waves can be extremely deadly.” And “Heat waves are quiet killers, with deaths often going uncounted until well after an extreme weather event has subsided.”
But so can aging, boating, camping, driving, gambling, gardening, hiking, recreational marijuana, a sedentary lifestyle, and sports. Yeah, pretty much all you have to do, in order to one day die, is exist in the first place.
Here’s the kicker to the “weather report” I read.
They had to toss this in: “…using peer-reviewed methods, from Climate Central shows climate change is likely boosting the odds for the upcoming extreme heat.”
And they add these guilt-loaded bullet points to make sure you’re aware that YOU are the problem:
I hope you realize there’s no such thing as “fossil fuels.” And I also hope you realize that volcanos spew more into the atmosphere than all the “human-caused emissions.”
But if those reports truly care about your safety, then it shouldn’t be long before they warn everyone to stop growing pot. Yeah, according to some estimates, growing an ounce of pot indoors can emit as much carbon as burning a full tank of gas. “Hey, somebody shut this guy up. He’s trying to take away our natural medicine.”
And you probably realize that a “spirit of fear” comes from a dark place. Because God gives a “spirit of power and of love and of a sound mind.”
So, you probably know that when it’s extra hot outside, you reduce your energetic outdoor activities. And you wait till Autumn before you ramp things up again. The same is true for the cold, dark winters. Wait for Spring.
And the next time someone tells you Earth is heating up, just ask, “Since when?” Don’t buy the lie of climate change. Because it’s YOU “they” truly want to reduce.
When the Truth is revealed, it transforms
