  • Did my Kid Lie?

I'm going, to be honest with you: parenting is hard. But it doesn't have to be.

These days, I've learned one thing above all else: there is a difference between being a good parent and a parent who feels like they're doing a good job. The first one is easy; the second one can feel impossible. And I don't want that for you.

So here are five steps to effortless parenting that will make your life easier and your kid's life more fun:

  • What we take home for us.

When we look at how things work, we have a better chance of optimizing their usefulness. Thinking you are broken is another way of discoursing yourself from climbing your mountain. Life is a journey, and the more we notice ourselves, the more we get to keep and take home for ourselves.

Think about it—when you go to the gym, there's always some kind of a weight-loss program that you can follow. Sure, it might help you achieve your goal of getting fit, but what if there was no program? What if you just went with your own strength and did what felt right?

It's the same thing with our lives. When we look at how things work, we have a better chance of optimizing their usefulness. Thinking you are broken is another way of discoursing yourself from climbing your mountain. Life is a journey, and the more we notice ourselves, the more we get to keep and take home for ourselves.

  • It's not a false alarm

One of the most powerful things that I have discovered over the years is that my life will become exactly as I choose to make it. As a parent, I want to give my children the opportunity to create their own lives. While they are still young, I am trying to teach them how to live life on their own terms, and make choices that will help them be happy in the long run.

  • Parenting After Near Death

    Meet Lea Maria Wernli, MA

Lea Wernli had it all: a wonderful family, a spacious flat with a stunning view of Zurich and a successful career as a special needs educator. But all she often felt was overwhelm and stress. She thought she was broken and did a lot to try and feel better. She ate a lot, drank a lot and shopped a lot. She got a lot of therapy and did a lot of energy work on herself. It helped some. But she was always looking over one shoulder, never sure if her big emotions and bad habits would overrun her again. Until she stumbled across the „3 Principles“and woke up to an entirely new understanding about life and how human beings work. It completely changed her life, improved her relationships with her kids and her husband. It also deeply impacted how she coaches and teaches. Today, she’s on a mission to share this understanding with everyone who wants to worry less and have a lot more fun in life or in business. She’s the co-founder of „Lea & Shailia“, a company dedicated to transforming lives through meaningful conversations, 1:1 and group coaching, professional coach training and mentoring.

Qualifications: MA in Special Needs Education, Certified Transformative Coach, Mentor Coach, Coach Trainer, Author of theBook „Less Worries – More Fun!“ (Weniger Sorgen – mehr Spass, in German)

  • Everyday is a New Creation

Hey! Did you know that the creative process is a journey?

It's true. And I think it's one of the most magical journeys you can go on. But it's not just a physical journey—it's also an emotional one, and a mental one. You have to be willing to explore all parts of yourself in order for it to be truly fulfilling.

I've been on this journey for a long time, and I'm always looking for new people to share it with. If you want to join me on my next hike, we can chat about anything from art history to music theory to modern dance. Or if you just want to talk about what your favorite movie is or what book you're reading right now—that works too! Just let me know when and where, and we'll connect!

  • Freedom of Control

Today we talk about freedom from both positive and negative thinking. This is another chance to explore how things work. We don't control our hearts, lungs, or our bowel, but we think we have all the control when it comes to our thinking.

Freedom of control is when we have space from thinking we must control.

We can be free from the negative thoughts that come up in our mind. The same goes for positive thoughts that sometimes come up as well. If a negative thought comes up, we can just let it go and not react to it by saying anything out loud or even in our head.

The same goes for positive thoughts that come up in our mind; sometimes those are good too! But sometimes they aren't really positive and just seem to be positive because we want them to be so bad! When this happens, just let them go too! You don’t need them anymore!

  • Gold at the end of the Rainbow

     Do you enjoy the process?

I'm not sure about you, but for a long time, I had a hard time enjoying the process. It seemed like the process was just a bunch of obstacles and pain points that were in the way of me getting what I wanted. But now that I know that's just how it works, I have found it easier to enjoy being a human being.

The worst part about running from the process is that it never ends! Every day, there's something else new to learn or something else that needs fixing—and sometimes those things can be a little painful or frustrating. But once you realize that this is just how life works, it becomes easier to keep moving forward and get through whatever's standing in your way.
