This video talks about the shift in clinical research to remote monitoring and risk based monitoring. With the new iteration of ICH/GCP R2 guidelines there has been a shift in the clinical research industry to a Risk based, remote monitoring approach to clinical research. This approach is supposed to reduce expenses for sponsors and cro's alike as well as produce stronger data to submit to the sponsor and the FDA. An article came across my feed on linked in that was discussing the move for us workers to not want a boss and move to be self employed. This is not a surprising move because we see the influence that moguls have garnered where, entrepreneurs are the new celebrities. Look at Shark Tank, Daymond John, Mr. Wonderful, Mark Cuban. Look at people like Gary Vee, Casey Neistat, Grant Cardone and many others. We have begun to put being self employed and building a business on a pedestal and I love it because now everyone has an opportunity to win. Americans are finally waking up that getting into a company, working for 30 years and retiring is no way to live a life. The millennial generation is going to be moving into a different direction because we do not want a boss, we want to be our own boss.

Employee turnover is one of the perceived problems in teh clinical research space and probably other job markets as well. This is due in large part because of the high demand for clinical research professionals combined with the plethora of job openings. This supply/ demand issue is great for employees but bad for employers and in this video we come up with some strategies to limit employee turnover. We as clinical researchers have been use to an environment where having this employee turnover was in our benefit and would take a lot of getting used to if the job market were to suddenly change. Since mobility is a great thing, a shift in this dynamic would certainly limit our ability to move jobs for more opportunity. Take advantage of the great clinical research demand!

There is a struggle to dealing with team members that are based all over the world, "global team members". Part of the struggle is dealing with the timezone, another part is dealing with cultural differences. In this video we discuss why it is so hard to break into clinical research if you have no experience. Bench research experience doesn't cut it anymore and it has become even more difficult to break into the clinical research. Even though the opportunities seem to be on the rise in the 2018, that is typically only for people with clinical research experience.

The Black Panther Movie came out over this past weekend to much fan fare. Of course I went to go see it and it was incredible, and probably one of the best movies I have seen and easily the best superhero movie I have seen not named The Dark Knight. The Technology, and medical knowledge, the people of Wakanda had got me to think about clinical research and some of the overlaps the movie had with clinical research.
