We talk about the Flintstones: Viva Rock Vegas, a young handsome Bruno Ganz, and homoerotic subtext. 

This week, Clint choses an Edgar Allen Poe double feature! We look at a returning director for us, Edgar J. Ulmer, and his loose adaptation of Poe's "Black Cat" and we watch Italian director Lucio Fulci's Black Cat.

Ali: Fear Eats the Soul is a German film, directed by Rainer Werner Fassbinder who was inspired by Douglas Sirk's All That Heaven Allows. We talk about melodrama, colors, German history, and American suburbia. 

This week's double feature picks were chosen by Clint. At the end of the pod, I interview my dad about Cat People because it's one of his fave films.

Next week's theme is unlikely love. I chose All That Heaven Allows and Ali: Fear Eats the Soul.
