Clockwork Bird

Hey folks! Eira here. Another one of my shows, Remnants, is returning today for its second season. Remnants is a dark fantasy mystery show about a guy trapped in a strange, dreamlike space filled with objects which hold the memories of the dead. He doesn't know why he's there or what the purpose of searching through these objects is, and the only person he has to help is the mysterious and obtuse Sir, who is some kind of... thing. There are already 30 episodes out, plus today's brand new 31st episode. You can go to hangingslothstudios.com/remnants for more information. Here's the trailer for Season Two. Don't worry; there are no spoilers for S1 here, just vibes.

TRAILER:

[WHOOSH]

[MUSIC BOX STARTS]

SIR

Does it worry you that everything is different?

APPRENTICE

Honestly, I think it would worry me more if it was the same.

[WHOOSH]

[MUSIC BOX STARTS, SLOWER]

‘Who are you?’ he asks.

‘I don’t know anymore. I’m not sure I ever did.’

[WHOOSH]

[MUSIC BOX STARTS, EVEN SLOWER]

APPRENTICE

No it— well it is your fault, frankly, but there’s no point in getting angry with you about it. It’s not like you remember anyway.

SIR

I remember we were here and there was nothing. I remember you spoke about the Remnants. They tell stories. You said that to me.

[WHOOSH]

[MUSIC BOX CRANKS, BUT DOESN'T START]

Remnants returns for its second season on 6th October, 2025.

Support Not Quite Dead!

Hi, it’s Eira, creator of Clockwork Bird! One of my other shows, Not Quite Dead, launched its crowd-funder for S4 today. It’s a gory horror romance about vampires, and it’s extremely gay. If you like the more philosophical aspects of this show paired with gut-wrenching emotions and a whole lot of biting and nudity, Not Quite Dead might be of interest to you. I’m really excited about this next season of the show and it’d be cool if you’d like to help me make it happen by going to tiny.cc/nqd4. The £15 tier will tell you if you live or die following an encounter with a vampire, and grant you a special role in the Hanging Sloth discord server, and higher tiers have tons of fun stuff like a digital collection of in-world notes written by the main character, Alfie, and opportunities to name a vampire in the show. You can find out more at tiny.cc/nqd4! That’s t-i-n-y dot c-c forward slash n-q-d and the number 4.

Hi, I’m Eira, creator of Clockwork Bird and Spirit Box Radio, and I’m here to tell you about another show, Not Quite Dead.

After seeing a succession of patients succumb to the same brutal injuries to their necks, Alfie, an overworked emergency nurse, is almost killed by a foul, rotting creature. He’s saved by a mysterious man who tells him the only chance Alfie has to live to let him drink his blood. Alfie agrees, not realising that giving his blood to Casper, a vampire, will mean the two of them become inextricably linked. This strange bond pulls Alfie deep into the world of vampires, and soon he is faced with a terrible choice; walk away and forget; or risk it all and try to become a vampire too.

Not Quite Dead is a gory romance horror story about the violence of vulnerability and the horrors both outside and within ourselves. If you like vampire stories, twisted romance, gory horror, and stories which bite back, search for Not Quite Dead wherever you find your podcasts, or go to hangingslothstudios.com/not-quite-dead to find out more.

Nestled in the hills and trees of the North of England is a tiny town, invisible to passing hikers and planes flying overhead. Twelvelms is part of a secret world just out of sight of the one we all live in; a dangerous magical world full of curses and spells beyond our imagination, and hidden histories which loop and twist like the knotted roots of ancient trees. With rewards on offer including a prospectus for Twelvelms University which is jam-packed with detail and world-building, an immersive journalling experience which will provide you with a journalling activity once a month for entire year, welcome boxes filled to the brim with Twelvelms goodies, and a lite RPG discord server run by the creator of the show, there’s something for everyone. The campaign has also built carbon off-setting into the production budget, so you know we care about the planet as well as the podcast!
