A signature classic UFO and Alien contact movie directed by Steven Spielberg, released in the USA on November 16, 1977. It was revolutionary for its time, with nothing else in comparison for the UFO topic. 

It was loaded with so many aspects and nuances of the UFO mystery, that it has become a beacon, and a must-see movie for UFO researchers, old and new alike. But in the 46 years since it's premiere, what has become known about the scenario it portrays. Is it really more of a documentary than a movie..?
