Clothing Coulture | Redefining Trend Forecasting with Sharon Graubard

Listen Later

Fashion trends are constantly changing and so is the way they are determined. Sharon Graubard is redefining fashion trend forecasting with her company MintModa.

Graubard has been called a 'trend oracle' with a ubiquitous understanding of sociology, history and culture of fashion trends.

As a trend forecaster, Sharon takes a different approach to trend forecasting, absorbing elements from thrift stores, sidewalks, vintage shows and runways to create a holistic view of fashion trends.

In this episode of Clothing Coulture, Graubard shares the importance of effectively communicating trends, her process for identifying long range fashion trends and how her background in art plays a role. Sharon also wrote a haiku for the podcast after the recording. You will find it below.
