We are back with mix #16 from the soulful sounds of EMIPHNX.

 EMIPHNX — A New York native now based in Houston, EMIPHNX bridges the energy of both cities through her vibrant, soulful sound. In just a year and a half, she’s played major stages like White Oak Music Hall and collaborated with Adidas and Deep Down South. Rooted in house, she draws inspiration from Latin rhythms and culture carried by artists like Louie Vega, The Martinez Brothers, and local DJs such as Espee, Kako, Oye Manny & more. With a deep love for Latin house and all forms of EDM, EMIPHNX continues to rise, creating space and representation for her sound across the electronic scene.

She’s the force behind MOVIMIENTO—an event and  radio series carving out space for BIPOC, femme, and queer expression artists, connecting bodies and beats across borders.

 DRAGONNQUEEN is a fiery force behind the decks, bringing a fusion of Latin rhythms, high-energy club mixes, dance edits, house, baile funk, throwbacks, and hip-hop to every set. A proud Afro-Latina queer femme from Houston, Texas, she has become known for seamlessly blending genres to create an unforgettable dancefloor experience. Despite being a full-time DJ for just over a year, DragonnQueen has already made waves, spinning at numerous high profile events and proving her ability to command any crowd. Specializing in CDJs and Pioneer equipment, she delivers precise, dynamic performances that keep the party alive. Beyond the booth, she is the founder of Venusian Events, curating unique, community-centered experiences, and is a member of Indulge, the powerhouse queer Texas DJ collective pushing boundaries in sound and culture. Known for serving high fashion and unique looks at every event, DragonnQueen brings an undeniable presence that captivates both the ears and the eyes.

Episode 12 is out now from Alief's own IYKUK!

Houston born, Alief raised, IYKUK started as yet another club kid in the scene, stepped up as a photographer, then picked up a board with that money. Two years later she's played in McAllen, Dallas, and soon New York City. Rap and RnB raised her, house and UK garage made up her adolescence, but club music made her what she is today, a full circle moment for her musical tastes. Her usual sets ebb and flow with stripped back breakbeats, chopped up samples, an occasional 4x4 beat, and as always, a desire for fun on the dance floor. After all this time she keeps the same motto she did since she realized she was great at what she does; World Domination. She is also 1/2 of "Los Pollos Hermanos" with Youngbrown.

7Thirteen came into the scene like many others, exploring Houston nightlife. Being queer and POC, they thrived in open minded spaces like Hyperpop Palace and found a home at Sixes and Sevens. Now a year and some change extensively practicing DJing, 7Thirteen is known for primarily spinning Jersey, Philly, and Baltimore Club, but will spin anything that gets the people moving. This new clubhead showcases in their mix some of the older and newer players of club music, and also their ever growing obsession with club music. This is only the beginning of 7Thirteen.

Alief's own Young Brown’s journey began as a photographer, capturing the underground club scene in Houston. Over time, this experience sparked a deep passion for DJing, and he’s spent the past year perfecting his craft. While his heart belongs to jungle and drum & bass, he’s drawn to any genre with fast tempos, heavy basslines, and soulful samples. His sets fuse the atmospheric soulfulness of Jungle and Footwork with the raw, high-energy punch of Ghettotech, creating a unique, upbeat energy for the crowd. Despite having DJed for less than a year, he’s already shared the stage with DnB legend Goldie and headlined events like Nights Like This. ½ of @lospolloshermanoshtx

Club South brings you mix #8, this time with the gutteral sounds of gqom and club hybrids from DJ goodfat.

Raised by a Persian Father and Mexican Mother, DJ goodfat grew up in a multicultural household in Houston, Texas. Influenced by Southern Rap, New York Hip-Hop, UK Grime, Norteña Cumbias, Reggae, Dancehall, and Gqom; DJ goodfat wows audiences with his presentation of danceable rhythms. He has adopted a strong sense of rhythm and timing to keep the club moving, and aims to elevate dance floors with his infectious energy.
