Club South is 25 mixes deep. Thanks for all the love and this month we bring you XAVIER BLK by way of ATL and now residing in Lisbon.

Xavier BLK brings global bass-infused rhythms to every set he plays. Born in Brooklyn, New York, and rooted in Puerto Rican heritage, he blends progressive Afro-Caribbean and Latin influences with electronic club sounds, including footwork, jungle, ballroom, UKG, techno, and Jersey club.

He has provided supporting sets for internationally acclaimed artists such as Dave, DBN Gogo, Sango, DJ Lag, DJ Sliink, Major League Djz, Uncle Waffles, Konshens, Sister Nancy, Kaytranada, and Mr. Eazi, among many others. Now based in Lisbon, Xavier BLK has performed across Mexico, Germany, South Africa, the United Kingdom, Portugal, France, and the United States.

 Born and raised in Southeast Houston, KIZMIT grew up in a home full of music and movement, which shaped her love for rhythmic sound at an early age. She taught herself guitar at 15 and later earned a degree in Musical Arts, giving her a strong foundation that continues to shape her approach as a DJ and musician.

Houston’s immense diversity exposed her to global sounds and local scenes. This blend of formal training and multicultural influence fuels her style, one that draws from both the world and the city she was raised in.

KIZMIT, a play on “kismet,” speaks to her purpose: uniting people through music. Her sets are a blend of intention and instinct, moving people through rhythm, culture, and shared energy.
