1) A trip to Milan gave an idea for a young marketer who was working for a coffee bean roaster in Seattle. The idea was for upscale coffee shops like they have in Italy. When the young marketer came back to the USA, his boss had no interest in owning coffee shops but he agreed to give money for this endeavor. And the boss even sold him his brand name. Do you wanna know the name? It's the most famous coffee shop in the world, Starbucks.

2) In 1995, a computer programmer started a website to sell his personal things. AuctionWeb was the name of the website and it was really just a personal project. But, when the amount of users started growing, he had to start charging people fees. He actually hired his first employee to take care of all the payment checks. Do you know the name of the website? A maioria dos funcionários tem alguma coisa pra reclamar do seu chefe. Vamos dar uma olhada hoje nesse relato desse funcionário sobre o chefe dele:

"I can't believe my boss sometimes, I do all the work and he takes all the credit.

He basically says "do this" and "do that", then when the work gets noticed he doesn't say it was me.

He lets people assume that he did the work!"

Ele falou que não deixava seus filhos usarem o iPad em casa.

"In 2010 Steve jobs presented the iPad saying this: "It is a wonderful device that brings you educational tools. It allows you to surf the web, it allows you to watch videos, it allows you to interact with other people. And basically, it’s the best way to do all those things.

But two years later a reporter asked him “Jobs, your kids must love the iPad, right?” He answered “Actually we don’t allow the iPad in the home. We think it’s too dangerous for them.”

"There is a special job opening for eight people who love riding motorbikes,

enjoy long, hot summers, and like feeling the wind in their hair.

The position is a summer internship for the legendary motorcycle maker Harley-Davidson.

The company is looking for people to learn to ride its bikes and then ride them across the USA all summer.

The successful candidates will get special training to ride a Harley and must then share their experiences of their adventures of riding around the USA on social media."
