God's faithfulness in the past grounds our faith for the future so that we might not shrink back, but receive what was promised.

If Jesus is everything the Bible says He is, and did (and is doing) all that the Bible says He’s done, then He is the long-awaited King of kings, and we need not be people of fear, but can trust Him fully in all the big and little areas of life.

The crying need for those cursed with the chaos of sin is the rule of God’s King, Jesus Christ, whose reign defeats sin and establishes godly order in and through his people.

Proximity to Jesus and outward devotion to God do not mean you really “get Jesus.” To truly discern who Jesus is and receive His saving work requires a heart that “gets” that He is the Messianic king.

As Jesus' followers, we can expect that faithfulness to His mission will prove costly, but we are sustained by our union with our compassionate Shepherd, who gave His own body as the bread of life for our salvation.

Christ triumphs in power over the world, the devil & death itself. The persistent unbelief of many cannot overturn his victory or prevent those who believe from sharing in it without fear.

Despite the horrible response by religious leaders and family alike to His ministry, Jesus assures His followers that His kingdom will advance and ultimately triumph through the proclamation of the gospel. 

The new Kingdom of Christ plunders the devil’s kingdom through the gospel, setting captives free and gathering God’s family.  Victory is not in doubt, neither should you be.

Because Jesus encountered hostility to His authority, Christians today should not be surprised when we encounter the same hostility to the gospel.

Jesus Christ has kingdom authority to cleanse the defiled and undo the work of the devil; an authority which he shares with his followers as they advance his cause.
