The law requires that God’s people perform his justice, show his kindness and humbly receive his blessings, all accomplished by Christ & given to us freely in him by faith.

The law’s demand to be holy, sacrificial worshipers under God’s rule is answered by Christ the worshiping King, who makes his church to be such worshipers, too.

The demand to have no other gods finds fullness in Jesus Christ whose heart was undivided in love for God, and who gives such hearts to all who believe.

There can be only one response for those on whom God in Christ has chosen to set His faithful love – they must exchange infidelity for obedient, wholehearted devotion to Him alone.

Despite the egregious apostasy of the nation, God’s eternal blessing is offered to any who fulfill God’s covenant by loving God, obeying His voice, and holding fast to Him, and such fulfillment is accomplished only by the obedience of faith in Jesus Christ.

 While the Law is pitted against grace in the New Testament, nevertheless even in its antithetical role, the Law ultimately shows us God’s saving grace to needy sinners.

Believers in Christ are poised to enter the land of promise, and so we must be prepared to engage the battle of perseverant faith while we hold the hope of an irrevocable inheritance.

In the face of death and judgment, God keeps His promise, raising up His people and leading them to rest through His Spirit filled leader. 

God’s covenant of grace through Jesus Christ is irrevocable and that grace stabilizes His people even amid life’s greatest challenges and the devil’s greatest assaults.

Believers have every reason to live in happy confidence because Jesus Christ rose victoriously from the grave for us.  This secures our justification, imparts new life in union with him & guarantees our bodily resurrection when he comes again.
