When affliction and tragedy hit, we can respond many ways, but God gives clear direction as to the way that brings glory to Him (and real peace and happiness to us).

God is magnificent, especially in His love seen in His creation, His providence and most clearly in His redemption, and such love demands and compels a radical response of reckless devotion and affection.    

Parenting is not for the faint of heart. If we’re to parent well, it must be with courage, and God gives us all we need to be courageous in our parenting through faith in His Word. 

 

The most beautiful thing about God is His holiness, best seen in Christ’s redemption, a true view of which will never fail to cause the human heart to increase in love for God.

The disciples were ultimately captivated by Christ’s glory which is the key not only to starting, but also to protecting and refreshing our love affair with God.  

Indifference to God is an affront to God, but Jesus Christ is still wooing His church to repent and become passionate for Him once more.  

The blessing Moses held out to Israel is Jesus Christ, who by his power saves believers to inherit a rich, new creation in which we dwell eternally secure in the everlasting arms of God.

The corruption of God’s people which demands judgment is no obstacle to God’s faithful promise to save them. Therefore we can have hope grounded in Jesus as the one who both bears and dispenses judgment.
