Jesus Christ urges His people to persevere in their faith even in the midst of suffering in order to enter finally into His eternal rest.

The distress of Antiochus continued through Rome and continues to the present, yet the promise of Messiah’s deliverance through tribulation continually sustains God’s people.

The nations rage and Christ and His people are trampled underneath, but the faithful must persevere through persecution, proving they belong to Messiah.

Believers must persevere through suffering and persecution until the appointed time of the end, because that is the divinely determined path and pattern of Messiah who purifies His people.

As we endure the spiritual battle that rages until Messiah’s Kingdom is consummated, the Lord Himself engages the fight, brings comfort and courage to His people, and assures the victory.

Without resurrection from the dead, there is no hope but only death, but with resurrection, there is a sure and certain hope of a new creation. Jesus Christ has risen from the dead guaranteeing resurrection from the dead for all who believe in Him!

Jesus Christ's death on the cross is the seed of the new creation as well as the model for all new creatures, for only those who lose their life will keep it to life eternal.

God the Son, who created all things, has come into this world as Messiah to bring in a new creation…beginning with sinners like us!
