C'Mon Son! The Podcast

Once upon a time, Puff Daddy gathered a group of 19-year-old men and took them straight to the top of the R&B charts, forever deeming them as the quartet known as "112." In this episode of "C'Mon Son!" The Podcast, Ed Lover sits with 1/4 of the group, Q Parker and discuss Biggie Smalls, ups and downs in the group, plus Q admits that Ed inspired his career on so many levels; both men also admit they have an unbreakable friendship in this business that nothing could break.

Howard alum and industry veteran Shante Paige takes a walk down memory lane with Ed, talk about six degrees of separation. Shante has been an active member in the music business for decades...at one time during her reign, she served as the Vice-President of A&R for the Universal/Motown Records Group, she was responsible for controlling multi-million dollar budgets. She was also the Executive Producer and handled the production of Hip Hop and R&B headliners such as 702, Dave Hollister, KEM, Chico Debarge, India Arie, Erykah Badu, Remy Shand, Cash Money Millionaires, Pastor Troy, Lil Corey, The Temptations, and Joe. During her tenure at Motown, these artists sold more than 65 million albums collectively worldwide, putting Motown in the black after a decade of losses. These are only a few, of the many, MANY hats Ms. Paige has worn, and we were blessed to have her in studio.
Now, she's thriving as the EP and creator of Atlanta-based strip-club hit "Beyond The Pole" television series.

You can hear in Ed's voice in this podcast episode how determined he is to clarify the dynamic between his late long-time best friend Randy "Stretch" Walker and Tupac Amaru Shakur, both men who were tragically killed and can't speak for themselves when it comes to their friendship. In case you're unfamiliar, Stretch and Pac met on the set of 'Juice'...Ed Lover was on set as well and the trio were inseparable at a moment in time. Rumors surfaced after Pac's incident in 1994 at Quad Studios in Manhattan that Stretch had something to do with it - and Ed swears on his life - it's not like that.
