It's 2024... a new year!!  I've heard "More in 24", "No More in 24", but I've latched onto "New Doors in 24".  Let's start doing new things in our music and ministry in 2024.  Today's episode is a basic approach to Piano Improvisation that can get you doing just that...  more creativity in your playing in 24.

Happy New Year!!  It's January and with that comes our time of year to set those resolutions and goals for the upcoming year.  Over half of people's resolutions and goals are broken and put aside by mid January.   This often happens from our thought process towards these goals.  Using the SMART model I believe we can make our goals that we set more achievable and obtainable for 2024.  It's time to make it to those goals in our lives, our music, and our ministries.

We set things aside in our music and ministries as things we want to achieve.  We call
these goals.  It's important to understand the fundamentals of what we do and more
important is to understand the fundamentals of what we have been called to do.

We all have found ourselves sitting, waiting, on God to open a door in our lives, our music, or our ministry.  Has our effort in the meantime done enough to cause Him
to open those doors?   Idle Thoughts verses Determined Thoughts can help us walk
through those doors when He decides to open them and lead us to our dreams becoming reality.

We can all find ourselves in a place where we feel like we are stuck, not moving forward, or simply in a rut.  Changing our perspective on things and change our placement in things.  This episode deals with things that can help us look at things through a more positive lens and find more success in doing what we are called to do.

Our thoughts can control who we are, how we respond to situations, and how we react to life on a daily basis.  There is a big difference between positive and negative thinking.
Being aware of the traits that lead to thinking negatively can help lead us to more positive thinking. Unless you take control of your thoughts, your thoughts will take control of you.

Happy Thanksgiving.  There's so much to be thankful for this season.  Getting ready for Thanksgiving Day has had me reflecting on things I'm thankful for.  One of those blessings in my life is the Staff at the Charles Novell School of Music.  God has surrounded us with gifted, anointed, called, and like minded individuals to move the ministry of CNS forward towards where God needs us to go.  Today's episode honors them and reflects on a few of those individuals.

CNS is a life changing experience.  We want to allow as many people as possible to experience that.  We have had people come along beside us that have generously offered to sow into our students through donating to our scholarship funds.  This episode explains the various scholarships that we offer through CNS and gives instruction on how to apply at www.cnsmusic.com
