When you hear the word 'patience' what comes to mind? Passive? Laziness? I think a lot of people do 'hear' those words. To me, patience is one of those 'soft skills' that are so hard to develop.

We take a moment this week to consider the long history of the Exile in Egypt and the patience of the generations before the Redemption takes place.

Who doesn't feel a bit overwhelmed by what is happening around us right now? I know I do. It's hard and it's complex and it's a feeling that few if any of us at all want to feel: Overwhelmed.

So, let's talk about it because the people of Israel seemed to feel the same way in this week's reading.

Welcome back to another edition of Coaching With The Bible. This week we begin the 2nd book of the Bible, Exodus, for the 2nd time together! I am excited!!!

Our topic this week: The Leadership Process

We will spend our time learning and appreciating the 'overnight success' that Moses becomes as the leader of the people of Israel.

That is to say, we will delve into how did he become the leader he was to become? 

What is the process of becoming the person that we know and learn and read about week after week, year after year for millennia?
