In this special episode recorded and released on Maternal Mental Health week 2021 (10th - 14th May) I wanted to share some of the recent, and past, mental health struggles I've been experiencing to highlight the complexity of maternity mental health.

Please note there's a trigger/content warning for mental health, trauma and baby loss.

Highlights of the episode include:

13:54 - It doesn't matter really what it is (the reason), it matters that it's happening

15:11 - I expected myself to be very anxious as a parent, and to my surprise that hasn't happened

13:25 - It also helps of course...Hope is such a happy baby, it makes me want to cry

16:08 - if you've ever wanted a baby full-stop, and if you've ever wanted one and gone to hell and high-water to have one, it's a joy to experience

17:02 - I would probably say my mental health support is the least (professionally) it's ever been

17:26 - I'm actually on the cusp of that (finding the right support again) - this is very fresh for me

1936: In my experience, maternal mental health issues haven't come in isolation

19:55 what I'm experiencing now IS as a result of my history and my IN ability and ABility to cope - both of those things...in addition to a heavy bought of lack of self-compassion

In this episode I talk to Leadership Coach for change makers Katy Murray about launching with more ease and a little bit less formality.

We dive into the interview by discussing the tendencies for women to dive into changing the world without bearing in mind whether or not that is actually sustainable. In this episode, I got the chance to discuss with the amazing wedding business coach Faye Cornhill. She opens up about the struggles that the wedding industry faced during 2020. Faye explains especially how her community was affected and the wonderful motivation and positivity that she managed to give to everyone in order to get through this hard time. She also shares her journey from photography to being a photography teacher, then moving on to the coaching and lastly starting her own coaching business that she is so proud of.

Faye emphasizes that focusing on your niche and specializing to help a certain group of people, is going to make you happier, more confident and have a certain special place in the industry.

In this episode I’m going to discuss the differences between online courses. In particular, I go in depth on what each of them offers and help you choose the one that benefits the growth of your business the most. But another equally important aspect during this process is the transparency that we as coaches must provide to our clients. We need to give a clear picture about what our online programs offer and what works best for both when creating these courses. There are different levels of them which include:

• Totally passive - no interaction, downloadable self paced modules / or even 'just' e-book style, no live guidance. Email help for administration perhaps not your answers and development

• Passive = not the income but how much interaction with host and or their team you get

• Next level = same as above but with email support attached

• Next level = less passive = same as above but with FB group for live questions to be answered - either by an admin or sometimes live by the host themselves, either as Q+A style in a post or LIVE in the group on a fixed day and time, provides accountability and site of other course members

• Moving onto more interactive with host / their team = modules to complete, self paced OR tapered to the live sessions, Q+A around the modules and live sessions - teaching or support

• Same as above with all the elements but ALSO includes coaching sessions which are different to Q+A because they're developmental, growth opportunities, reflective

• Most interactive (Mastermind) = same as previous but with 121 elements included

In this episode I’m going to talk about how to articulate and share your client outcome. The majority of coaches struggle with confidence in sharing their client outcomes and this can be a big obstacle in their business. That’s why I want to share with your four ways that can help client outcome sharing be more clear and effective. So four useful tips are:

1. Stop holding yourself back from sharing your most powerful outcomes 
2. Look at the evidence of your past clients outcomes and where you help them go from and to.
3. Make sure to find something that can help them feel, know or believe and want in the future.
4. Ask them about success criteria and help reach that.
