It's not very common that we get a look in to comms and get an understanding of the bigger picture which is what this episode is all about. Nathan is now an on road paramedic but previously worked in comms starting off taking triple zero calls before moving to the dispatching desk and juggling the chaos that is a board full of pending jobs.
For those looking to join the Queensland Ambulance service the graduate role at the moment often involves a 12 month EMD pathway before commencing on the road so this is the perfect opportunity to find out what you may be in for!
As Brad puts it, he has been collecting uniforms for most of his career. Starting off in the Australian Army, Brad was deployed to various locations before discharging and joining Victoria Police. During his time in general duties his hard work lead him on to the critical incident response team before again changing uniforms for the final time. Now Brad is a firefighter for Fire Rescue Victoria and his story proves that if you persevere and work hard you can achieve your goals.
Whilst working full time Brad runs his own business
