Each chart shows how these three metrics compare to the corresponding peak level reached nationwide last winter. For example, a state’s case line exceeds 100 percent on the chart when its number of cases per capita exceeds the highest number of U.S. cases per capita reached in January 2021.

This chart shows for each age group the number of people per 100,000 that were newly admitted to a hospital with Covid-19 each day, according to data reported by hospitals to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

In my case it would be that I thought what I wrote may kill my chances of us dating. Too serious, too horny, too much information.

Girls overreact! [unsend] What light through yonder window breaks? It is the dawn, and Juliet is the Sun. [She’s going to ask who is this other girl, Juliet!] [unsend] You, me, McDonald’s. You look like you love the McNuggets, if you know what I mean. And I have a gift card from my grammy! [unsend]

Boys tend to say exactly what we’re thinking, often before we actually think. Well thank goodness for the ability to unsend a message!

President Joe Biden encouraged American workers to return to the office in his State of the Union Address Tuesday night.

At this point in the pandemic,  15.4% of Americans aged 16 and older worked from home at some point in January 2022, according to the latest data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. That's down from roughly 23% in February 2021.

"We can end the shutdown of schools and businesses," Biden said. "We have the tools we need."

"It's time for Americans to get back to work and fill our great downtowns again," he continued. "People working from home can feel safe to begin to return to the office."

The Phoenix Mercury center Brittney Griner is one of the most dominant WNBA players ever. Yet now she’s in custody in Russia—a predicament that not only threatens her safety amid a major global crisis but also exposes the inferior status of professional women’s basketball in America.

Russian state media recently reported that Griner is facing drug-smuggling charges after customs agents there said they discovered vaping equipment and cannabis-oil cartridges in her luggage last month at Sheremetyevo Airport, near Moscow. Griner’s arrest happened well after U.S. intelligence began warning that Russia was preparing to invade Ukraine but before the military operation began. If convicted, Griner, who was flying from New York back to Russia to continue her stint with one of the country’s premier basketball teams, could face up to 10 years in prison.

For weeks, Griner’s family, her business and legal representatives, the WNBA, the NBA, and some WNBA players were aware of her troubles but, in the hope of not provoking the Russian government, initially avoided drawing attention to them. Last weekend, though, the seven-time WNBA all-star’s wife, Cherelle, posted a picture of her and Griner on Instagram. In her caption, Cherelle wrote: “I understand that many of you have grown to love BG over the years and have concerns and want details. Please honor our privacy as we continue to work on getting my wife home safely.” On Tuesday, Russian state television released a photo of Griner holding a piece of paper with her name on it while standing against a wall in a Russian police station.

Interviewing the teachers from TF North, catching up with them, their goals and updates

The E24 Endurance Award was partially inspired by the David Goggins 4X4X48 challenge and created by two high school teachers.  Aaron Altenburgand Christopher Russo are teachers at Thornton Fractional North High School in Calumet City, Illinois. They will be completing the Endurance 4X4X24 challenge to award two graduating students each school year with a $500 dollar donation to help them with their post high school endeavors.  Students who receive the award are students who have endured hardships throughout their high school career.  Hardships include but are not limited to physical/health, loss of a family member, loss of home/shelter, etc.  Despite the obstacles the students faced, he/she still graduated and will be attending college, trade school, or the military.

A woman was apparently arrested at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport at a Delta Airlines gate after allegedly spitting on Delta employees and saying the N-word.

In a TikTok posted by Talia (@talbrooks), a white woman is seen writhing in an airport police officer’s arms as he restrains her. She continues to resist him and the pair fall into the gate’s boarding desk. The woman then screams as she is apparently escorted out the door of the gate with only one of her shoes on.

“Are you arresting me?” the woman asks the airport police officer. “Yup,” he responds. Multiple people were seated at the gate watching laugh at her.

Talia captioned the video saying that Delta “made [her] day by arresting this racist.”
