That’s what this Coffee And A Car Ride series, “Extra Duty” is about. On this episode I wanted to know how a nation like the good old U. S. of A should deal with a labor shortage that has partly been the result of such facts like birth decline. I wanted to know if the idea of immigration was the best way to fill that gap and keep the country going.

To get an answer I decided to solicit a quote-unquote normal person. I decided to ask, an “everyday American”, a chill woman named Kristen. She is a mom, an Army Veteran, and a hard worker. The ideal person to get a perspective on an important issue such as this. And it was. While we share some of the same political ideals, we still have very different perspectives when it comes to this issue. The result is a very interesting, entertaining, and eye opening conversation.

That is right; kids in Texas will soon be just like Hawkeye Pierce, like 4th grade, baby-faced Hawkeye Pierces, who will be trained to perform meatball surgery on all those people who are being gunned down in Texas right now. Yup. Instead of dealing with the real issue, which is guns, Texas has decided that kids should bare the brunt of it. Conservatives always call liberals or progressives snowflakes. They say that we are easily triggered, and meltdown for no reason, and while there may be some truth to some of those claims, there is something that needs to be straightened out. There is a pattern that is emerging in the GOP. It is a hypocrisy that is so transparently hidden that it’s translucent.
