"Fluffy and Fido Save the Day" by author and actor Tom Arns is a sweet, comedic cats-and-dogs-getting-along short story that emerged from a writing prompt. These two unlikely friends team up to protect what is dear, their food.

"Woman of the Trees" by emerging poet Laurel Maxwell, a short story based on Josephine McCracken, an inspirational writer who advocated for saving open spaces and the Santa Cruz redwoods, which resulted in the creation of Big Basin Redwoods State Park in California.

"What in Blazes" by Pat Foran is a short story, based loosely on a newspaper clipping about a fire. From there, Pat invents a personified Paper that explores change, has a way of swirling in music references (Bruce Hornsby's does seem like it might be a good mash up for Tupac's ??), and suggests that maybe all of our solutions can be found amongst the want ads.
