I’m Carla Stiles with the Coffee & Hustle Podcast, and I’ve always wanted to share stories and have candid conversations featuring other successful business owners and community leaders.
Because everyone loves a great success story, but only some hear the journey. One of the best ways to find role models who inspire you is to think about the people who have positively impacted your life. And today, I would like to discuss the Story Behind Your Success with Dr. Patricia G. Sims, President of Drake State Community and Technical College here in Huntsville.
She is a spirit of excellence and knowledge and has led the charge for Drake State to expand partnerships with businesses and industries, create new opportunities and pathways for students, and work to increase resources to support student achievement.
Welcome to our podcast, and take time out of your business schedule today to listen to her inspiring story.

Why do I feel like a fake?
These kinds of feelings are shared. They affect 70% of us at some point in our lives. When these feelings of doubt are persistent and pervasive, they could signify a condition called impostor syndrome. Imposter syndrome, also called perceived fraudulence, involves feelings of self-doubt and personal incompetence that persist despite your education, experience, and accomplishments. To counter these feelings, you might work harder and hold yourself to higher standards.
Some of the questions that we discussed in the Coffee & Hustle Podcast:
The Impostor Syndrome - How to Identify and Deal with it!
Part 1: What is the Impostor Syndrome?
Part 2: The Causes of the Impostor Syndrome
