I sat down with Lee Bacon, Middle Grade and Young Adult author of over half a dozen books, including Audible's #1 book for kids, Interview with the Robot. We were joined today by my eight year old daughter, Hannah, who loves to read. Hannah and I started reading Legendtopia together, a middle grade fantasy story that is basically the reverse of The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, where the magic enters earth through a walk in freezer at a restaurant called...you guessed it...Legendtopia! It's a really fun book.
In this episode, we talk about writing to kids, what it's like to win a major award, and of course Hannah has a few questions as well.
You can learn more about Lee Bacon's books by visiting his WEBSITE, or liking his Facebook Page.

This is my second interview with author Michael Mammay. Hey all! What a great season this year! I'm so excited at what started as a ten episode COVID shut down project and has become a 33 episode labor of love. I'm particularly excited about the following stats:
- The podcast has over 1250 downloads.
- The podcast has had 24 authors.
- Nine (9) of those authors were female writers.
- The podcast has had two repeat guests, with more to come in 2021.
My top five episodes for the year:
1. Taylor Anderson (Destroyermen Series) - Over 200 downloads
2. David Brin (The Postman, Earth, etc) - 70 downloads
3. Sunyi Dean (The Book Eaters) - Over 50 downloads
4. Jordan Ifueko (Raybearer) - 47 downloads
5. My first episode (Covid and Post-Apocolyptic fiction) - 47 Downloads
Ok, folks, that's all for season 1. Please enjoy your holiday season, and subscribe so you don't miss a thing when we come back for season 2 in a few weeks!

Interview with Mark de Jager, a huge D&D gamer and author of two books. In this episode, we discuss the similarities between worldbuilding in a game and in a novel, holding onto a character for decades before finding a story for them, and of course, his novels.
In particular, we talked about how is hobby of gaming turned into a fantasy world for his novel Infernal. I think you'll enjoy how that all turned out. We discuss how that world continues on in his second novel, Firesky, which is on preorder now (as of this recording).
To learn more about Mark’s writing, follow him on Twitter (@gergaroth) or Instagram.

Interview with celebrated author Walter Jon Williams, author of several books, including the Dread Empire and Praxis series. His most recent novel in that series is Fleet Elements.
Walter recommends new readers start with book one of the series, called The Praxis: Dread Empire's Fall. Once you're done with that book, get the rest of them and finish up with Fleet Elements.
To get a look at out of print books that Walter has brought back to life, you can look at his list of books at THIS LINK.
To learn more about Walter’s writing, check out his website at: (WEBSITE LINK). You can also find him on Facebook. You can also visit the Taos Toolbox, a workshop co-hosted by Walter and science fiction author Nancy Kress, at THIS LINK.
