This is the guest that I have been dying to have on my podcast since I started podcasting two years ago!
My dearest friend and lifetime mentor, Rayna Granger, joins me this week to share her story but instead of being in my corral, I got to join Rayna in her corral along with her lovely animals!
Rayna is a highly accomplished horsewoman who has spent her life learning how to be a beautiful partner for her horses while also generously sharing her wisdom with others. I met Rayna 14 years ago at one of her horsemanship clinics, and since then we have become very close friends.
Today Rayna shares:
How she learned to protect her peace due to a childhood filled with turmoil
Her first experience on a horse
Her many learning opportunities with multiple, well-known trainers and what she learned
How horsemanship has shaped her into the woman she is today
The beauty of flowing with the lesson that comes
The way Rayna sets boundaries and knows when it’s time to let go of relationships
“It’s okay to be selective”
Why we don’t have to be afraid of being selfish
How to honor your path
The answer Rayna responds with when someone asks her, “What do you do?”
How Rayna’s dad taught her to have unlimited thinking
This conversation meant SO much to me. Rayna has been inspiring and encouraging me for many years and I am so delighted that I finally get to share her with my podcast peeps. Her calm, wise, beautiful demeanor will fill your soul while her witty, joyful self is sure to have you smiling up a storm.
She’s the real deal folks. Genuine as they come. I am deeply grateful for her friendship.
One of the books Rayna mentions that she loves:
