    In this episode, Philip Klayman interviews Harry Hutchins, co-owner and head of relations at Finca Terrerito, a coffee farm in Copan, Honduras. In this 1st episode of a 3-part series, they discuss the farm-to-boat journey of coffee, the motivation behind direct relationships between farmers and roasters, and the impact of direct sourcing on coffee quality. They also explore the challenges and opportunities in coffee farming, including the process of harvesting coffee cherries and the factors that affect coffee flavor. Harry emphasizes the importance of sustainability and waste management in coffee farming and highlights the need for consumer education and support to ensure the future of coffee farming.  The next two episodes in this series will explore 'boat to roast' and 'roast to you.'
