One of the big things I see holding back mothers in particular from making more money, is not what you might think.

It’s definitely not time.  Nope.  You don’t need more time in order to make more money, let’s do away with that belief immediately.  It isn’t serving you.

So what is it?

I’ll tell you: it’s a negative belief that “if I get rich, my kids will turn into spoilt, entitled a-holes”.

And the worst part is – often this belief lurks in the background just silently sabotaging our money-making endeavours.

It probably wouldn’t be shocking to say “the dream life is expensive” if we’re defining the dream life as all yachts, sports cars, mega mansions and the likes.

But what if your dream life is living more simply?  What if your dream involves a quieter existence in a rural setting?  Or simply more time for the things that light you up?  Or living in alignment with your values more and more.  Or helping others? Yeah… still expensive.

(The irony that my dream of living a slow-paced, simple, off-grid, self-sustaining existence will take a lot of money to create isn’t lost on me).

So my issues with the word “expensive” (we’ll get into that), aside – It’s actually OK that’s it’s expensive.  Let’s talk about why and what to do about the fact that your dream life WILL come with a hefty price tag.
