Cogitations

Well, there have been some snags in my plan for Cogitations this week. Do not worry. There will be a podcast uploaded each day. The only difference is that they will not be live. I should be back in the studio by Friday. I look forward to live-streaming them then. The live interaction really helps. This episode is just letting you know and talking just a very little about something called "polishing the pulpit" which is where my family are this week.

Modesty and shamefacedness is such an issue in the church because it is such an issue in the world. The world objectifies and sexualizes young girls, children. Sadly, many in Christendom buy into it. We promote it. Why? Take a listen to this episode and let me know what you think. Older women need to teach the younger to be more shamefaced. Not only that, there is so much stigma surrounding speaking out against the killing of the pre-born that one is labeled a bigot and a hater of women if the right to life of a baby in the womb is defended. I this episode I talk about some arguments and answers to arguments not appealing to the Bible for authority. Hopefully you will find it helpful. We need to be well versed in the issue and able to argue for the right to life of the pre-born in a logical way while not appealing to the Bible for authority.

Have you ever thought about how the creation account describes being made in the image of God? I think too often we overlook the wonderful things that can be taught and learned form this first account in the Bible. We relegate it to children's Bible classes and do not give this epic piece of Scripture the proper place it deserves. It was first in the Bible for a reason and not just because it is first in order.  It tells us so much about God and how we relate to him. We hope you enjoy this episode of Cogitations.
