Statement of Need Normal aging is associated with pathology and cognitive impairment that can be similar to those found in patients with Alzheimer's disease (AD). Providers should be aware of the latest diagnostic tools to distinguish between normal cognitive impairment with aging and early stages of AD. Objectives At the conclusion of this offering, the participant will be able to:

1. Differentiate the clinical manifestations of cognitive impairment of normal aging versus Alzheimer Disease.
2. Identify the screening and diagnostic tools for patients with cognitive impairment.
3. Discuss appropriate management of normal cognitive impairment as a result of aging.
