The Western Australia Police Force is calling for public assistance as part of a renewed appeal to find answers to the 44-year-old cold case of Lisa Marie MOTT.

Acting on information received from the public during that deployment, detectives are reinvestigating a yellow Holden panel van abandoned in the bush area of Hoddell Road in Collie. The abandoned vehicle was previously reported to police and investigated at the time of the initial report in 1996.

After 45 years, Cold Case Investigations have made a breakthrough in the murder of 22-year-old Kerryn Tate.

In this podcast, Cold Case Western Australia host Neil Poh will take listeners behind the scenes of the extraordinary investigation that led detectives to identify Terence John Fisher as a significant suspect in Kerryn’s brutal murder.

Cold Case Western Australia followers will recall Kerryn’s murder was examined by Poh in an earlier episode for the series. In that first episode, he spoke to Kerryn’s siblings about the ongoing impact of the crime.

In this new and exclusive podcast, Poh again speaks to Kerryn’s siblings – but this time they speak of their reaction to having some answers about their sister’s death.

Kerryn Tate’s badly burnt body was discovered at Karragullen on 30 December 1979. She’d been bludgeoned to death and then set on fire. 
 
 Kerryn had come to Western Australia from New South Wales following the death of one of her baby twins, but her search for a new life was ended in the most brutal of circumstances.

Annette Deverell had been enjoying a night out with friends in Mandurah on Saturday 13 September 1980.

She was last seen talking to an unidentified blonde man near the Mandurah Post Office, and was reported missing by family the following day.

Her remains were found in bush 35km south east if Mandurah more than two years later.

Annette's family, friends, and detectives close to the case believe someone with local knowledge would have been involved.

Laura Muckersie was 20-years-old when she was found deceased in a Swan View drain on 31 July 2001.

She met with several friends on the afternoon and night of 30 July, and made phone calls from a phone box on Morrison Road – the last known contact with her.

Andrew Podpinka was home alone on 4 March 1999 when he suffered multiple stab wounds that caused his death.

Originally from Poland, Mr Podpinka lived with various health issues. His wife and daughter had gone shopping about 1.30pm that day, and a neighbour reported seeing Mr Podpinka at the front of his home about 2.45pm.

When Mr Podpinka’s wife and daughter returned home about 3.45pm, they found his body on the bedroom floor.
