Cold Cases With Cassy

In this episode of Cold Cases with Cassy, we revisit the heartbreaking case of 14-year-old Max Devries, who went missing in Aruba in 2004 while on vacation with his family. Max was last seen jet skiing with an older man whose criminal past was tragically overlooked by Aruban authorities due to a lack of proper investigation. The authorities quickly dismissed Max’s disappearance as a case of being lost at sea, performing little to no further inquiry. Just a year later, the Natalee Holloway case would dominate international headlines, leaving Max’s story largely forgotten.

Today, we speak with Max’s mother, Yvonne Devries, as she shares the harrowing details of that day, the frustrating inadequacies of the investigation, and her relentless fight for answers. Tune in as we uncover one of Aruba’s most overlooked cold cases.
